    摘要: There is described a rotary trough type cooling bed run-in apparatus for dropping the roll bars of a steel round bar mill onto a cooling bed in an aligned state at high speed and absent the warpage associated with similar devices. Several troughs each having a longitudinal opening and an axial opening are rotatably mounted. A roll bar is introduced axially into each of said troughs following which said opening is closed off by a cover to ensure that said bar will not be prematurely ejected. As said troughs move downwardly said covers are simultaneously removed to expose the enclosed bars and these are allowed to fall downwardly onto a cooling bed.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a non-fired iron-bearing pellet, which comprise:supplying a green iron-bearing pellet containing a hydraulic binder and water into a treating furnace provided with a green iron-bearing pellet inlet at an end thereof and a non-fired iron-bearing pellet outlet at the other end thereof and having at least one heating gas blowing port and at least one heating gas discharge port, blowing through said blowing port into said treating furnace a gas containing a saturated steam at a temperature substantially equal to the heating target temperature of the green pellets, replenishing the heat of said gas lost through heat exchange with said green pellet with the condensation heat produced from condensation of at least part of the steam contained in said gas through heat exchange with said green pellets, and holding said green pellets at said target temperature for a prescribed period of time to harden said green pellets, thereby continuously manufacturing a non-fired iron-bearing pellets. The green iron-bearing pellets introduced into the furnace are first pretreated by contact with the gas which had been used to heat the already preheated pellets.

    摘要: Disclosed is a walking beam and more particularly its driving mechanisms whereby a material placed on a plurality of stationary beams for transfer, e.g., a steel product such as a steel pipe or round bar is raised from below, moved forward and lowered again onto the stationary beams by a plurality of transfer beams and this process is repeated to effect the transfer of the material. Each of the driving mechanisms includes a first link for causing the transfer beam to make a circular motion and the first link is rotatable about a supporting shaft with a radius of rotation l. The supporting shaft is fitted in the forward end of a second link and is rotatable about a main rotating shaft with a radius of rotation 2l. Mounted also on the supporting shaft is a first gear which is rotatable along with the first link and the first gear is in mesh with a second gear mounted on the main rotating shaft. The driving of the second gear and the second link is controlled selectively such that one of them is driven and the other is locked or both of them are driven and in this way the feed length of the transfer stroke of the transfer beam is changed to 2l, 4l or 6l.
