Abstract:
A recoil starter includes: a rope reel; a cylindrical cam; a coil spring; a reel spindle; an extending cylindrical portion; a recess; a hook; an engaging groove; an inner annular portion; and an outer annular portion, wherein: the extending cylindrical portion is inserted in the inner side of the recess; the coil spring is wound on the outer side of the extending cylindrical portion; the hook is engaged with the engaging groove; an end portion opposite the hook of the coil spring is engaged with the cylindrical cam; the inner annular portion is made flush; and the outer annular portion is made such that a portion corresponding to the engaging groove is formed to have the same height as that of the inner annular portion whereas an opposite side is formed to have a larger height than that of the inner annular portion.
Abstract:
A starting apparatus of a small-sized engine includes: a cylindrical cam; a drive gear connected to the cylindrical cam coaxially, wherein: whereas the drive gear is made to be connected to a rope reel by ratchet claws, the drive gear is made to be connected to a cell motor by at least two pieces of reduction gears; and a reduction gear in the reduction gears brought in mesh with the drive gear is divided into a small diameter gear portion and a large diameter gear portion to be arranged coaxially, side faces of the small and the large diameter gear portion opposed to each other are formed with engaging claws engaged with each other only in one direction, and the small and the large diameter gear portion are urged as the two side faces are brought into contact with each other.
Abstract:
A recoil starter capable of introducing cooling air into an engine through the recoil starter and reducing a size and weight thereof. Annular recesses are formed in opposing joint surfaces of a rope reel and a cam, respectively, in a manner to face each other. A damper spring is received in the annular recesses while opposite ends thereof are respectively held at the rope reel and the cam so that the rope reel and the cam are rotationally coupled together via the damper spring. Air inlets for introducing air for cooling the engine are formed in a side wall of a casing. Air passages facing the air inlets of the casing are formed between a drum portion at an outer periphery of the rope reel and a boss portion forming the annular recess of the rope reel.
Abstract:
A recoil starter capable of starting an engine easily has a reduced number of components and a simple structure, and enables miniaturization and a cost reduction. A damper spring having one end thereof fixed to a reel and provided at the other end thereof with an operation section is arranged in such a manner that the operation section thereof is engageable with a centrifugal ratchet provided on a rotating member of the engine, so that a shock caused by the engine is absorbed by the damper spring and a rotating force from the reel is stored therein.
Abstract:
A recoil starter having a driving member and a driven member, wherein the driving member further includes recoiling unidirectional rotating means. The recoiling unidirectional rotating means includes a movable locking claw member which is supported by one of the rope reel and the interlocking rotor in such a manner that it is rotatable therewith and movable in a direction along the rotational axis thereof, an urging member for urging the movable locking claw member toward the other of the rope reel and the interlocking rotor, and an engaging member mounted on the other of the rope reel and the interlocking rotor. The unidirectional rotating means is constructed in such a manner that, when the rope reel is rotated in the driving direction, the movable locking claw member is caused to contact and engage with the engaging member to thereby enable the rotation of the rope reel to be transmitted to the interlocking rotor, and that, when the rope reel is rotated reversibly to the driving direction relative to the interlocking rotor, the engagement between the movable locking claw member and the engaging member is released.
Abstract:
A recoil starter casing is made from a plate. The plate has a polygonal top face and a plurality of rectangular side faces integral with and extending from respective edges of the top face. Each of the side faces includes a recess in its edge, and a pair of projections at opposite ends of the recess. A plurality of air inlets are formed in the side faces. The side faces are bent from the top face along the respective edges of the top face. A fan cover has slots. The projections are inserted into the corresponding slots. The free ends of the projections are then bent so as to secure the starter casing to the fan cover. The inside of the starter casing is cooled through the air inlets and the recesses or air vents.
Abstract:
An armrest structure easily adjustable in position with one hand includes an armrest portion attached to a fixed frame to be swingable horizontally, and the armrest portion includes a button member disposed to be push-operable, at a front end of the armrest portion, and an urging member configured to urge the button member. The fixed frame and the button member regulate swing of the armrest portion by causing a pin provided on one of the fixed frame and the button member to engage with an engagement groove provided on the other of the fixed frame and the button member. The urging member urges the button member in a direction in which the pin and the engagement groove engage with each other. When the button member is pushed in against urging force of the urging member, the pin disengages from the engagement groove to enable the armrest portion to swing.
Abstract:
A tilt structure to be provided allows the tilt of a console to be changed through simple motion and has a simple configuration. A link mechanism (a mechanism similar to a slider crank mechanism) composed of three turning pairs and one sliding pair is formed using a first frame 20, a second frame 25, a slider 37, and a connection member 30. The tilt structure includes a control member 40 or 47 for fixing or unfixing the tilt of the second frame 25. The control member 40 or 47 is provided controllably in order to lock or unlock motion of the link mechanism.
Abstract:
One aspect of the invention provides a recoil starter including: a reel support shaft; a rope reel that is rotatably mounted on the reel support shaft; a ratchet member that is swingably mounted on the rope reel; a ratchet guide that is rotatably mounted on the reel support shaft with friction resistance. The ratchet guide includes: a guide portion and a swinging-prevention portion. When the rope reel rotates in an engine starting direction, the guide portion pushes out the ratchet member to an outer diameter direction. When the ratchet member does not contact the guide portion, the swinging-prevention portion prevents the ratchet member from swinging to the outer diameter direction.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, there is provided an anti-vibration structure for a handle of a portable brush cutter, the structure including: a pole; an operation unit provided at a front portion of the pole; an engine provided and a lever device provided at a base portion of the pole; an attachment stay unit fixed to a middle portion of the pole, the attachment stay unit having an accommodation recess at each end thereof; an operation handle having a protrusion protruding from each end thereof; and anti-vibration materials sandwiched between the attachment stay unit and the handle main body in a left-right direction of the pole, so that one side of the anti-vibration material is accommodated in the accommodation recess while the protrusion is inserted in an open-groove formed on the other side of the anti-vibration material.
