Abstract:
An electrical connector includes an insulating housing having a number of passageways and a number of dividing walls extending from a rear side of the passageways; and a number of contact modules received in the insulating housing and arranged along a first direction. Each contact module includes an insulator and a number of conductive contacts received in the insulator. Each insulator includes a first section and a second section. The dimension of the first section along the first direction is larger than the dimension of the second section. When the contact modules are assembled to the insulating housing, the second sections are received in corresponding dividing walls, respectively.
Abstract:
For coherent fiber optic communications, the nonlinear XPolM impairment is the most important issue to realize over-100 Gbps high-speed transmissions. A method provides a way to cancel time-varying XPolM crosstalk by introducing multi-stage adaptive mechanism. In the method, a low-complexity adaptive filtering based on recursive least-squares (RLS) first tracks the time-varying crosstalk along with the per-survivor trellis-state decoding. The estimated channel and the decoded data are then used to calculate the empirical covariance, which is in turn exploited to obtain more accurate channel estimates by means of optimal-weighted least-squares. This is performed with a low-complexity processing over frequency domain with fast Fourier transform. The performance is significantly improved with turbo principle decoding, more specifically, iterative decoding and iterative estimation over a block.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a processor includes error injection circuitry separate and independent of debug circuitry of the processor. This circuitry can be used by a software developer to seed errors into a write-back path to system memory to emulate errors for purposes of validation of error recovery code of the software. The circuitry can include a register to store an address within the system memory at which an error is to be injected, a detection logic to detect when an instruction associated with the address is issued, and injection logic to cause the error to be injected into the address within the system memory responsive to the detection of the instruction. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

A plurality of sensor elements is formed in the semiconductor substrate. An isolation feature is formed between the plurality of sensor elements. An ion implantation process is performed to form a doped region having the first-type conductivity substantially underlying the isolation feature using at least two different implant energy.
Abstract:
A power connector assembly includes a first connector (100) having a first insulating housing (110) forming a front face (114) and a rear face (115). A number of passageways (101) are defined in the first insulating housing and extending through the front face and the rear face. A number of first contacts (120) are retained in the passageways, respectively. A second connector (200) includes a second insulating housing (210) having a front surface (214) and a rear surface (215). A number of passageways (201) are defined in the second insulating housing and extending through the front surface and the rear surface. A number of second contacts (220) are retained in the passageways, respectively. When the first connector and the second connector are mated with each other along a mating direction, a number of airflow holes (102) are defined between the front face of the first connector and the front surface of the second connector for heat dissipation.
Abstract:
An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a number of power contacts and a number of signal contacts received in the insulating housing, and a power bus bar electrically and mechanically connecting with one power contact. The insulating housing defines an opening at a rear side thereof, and defines a number of first and second passageways extending therethrough and communicating with the opening The power contacts are received in corresponding first passageways and the signal contacts are received in corresponding second passageways. Each power contact is composed by a pair of opposite power contact halves. Each power contact half defines a contacting end and an engaging end opposite to the contacting end. A fish-shape slot is defined between the two engaging ends.
Abstract:
A cylinder includes a cylinder body, a piston assembly, and a guiding member. The cylinder defines a receiving hole. The guiding member is fixedly assembled within the receiving hole of the cylinder body, and is coaxial with the cylinder body. The guiding member defines a sliding groove and an arc rotating groove communicating with the sliding groove. The piston assembly includes a piston and at least one roll ball. The piston is assembled within the receiving hole of the cylinder body, and is slidably and rotatably sleeved on the guiding member via the at least one roll ball. The at least one roll ball is movably sandwiched between the piston and the guiding member, and is capable of sliding within the sliding groove and the rotating groove of the guiding member thereby driving the piston to slide and rotate relative to the guiding member.
