A method, system and program product comprise processing a document using a key to generate a document identification. A matrix is generated using data from the document identification. The matrix comprises a scannable element. The matrix and the document are combined to form a second document in which a verification of an authenticity of the second document is performed using at least the matrix.

A field deployable sensor node for determining electrical usage in an electrical power grid comprises a sensor capable of removable engagement with a supply line electrical wire and capable of measurement of at least one of current and voltage to produce measurement data; an analog to digital conversion means; a microcontroller circuit; a transceiver; storage memory for data; and a means to communicate with other nodes and self-form into a communications network selected from the group consisting of a mesh, star, and tree network topology forming a Field Area Network (FAN).
Abstract:
An object is zoomed upon selection. A scaling factor is calculated for zooming the object based on current viewing properties of a document and properties of the object as well as the current size of the application window and device. The scaling factor to zoom the object is calculated such that after the object is zoomed, viewing the object is similar to a viewing experience for the rest of the document. Text of the document may be displayed to increase the readability of the document. For example, the text may be displayed such that each line of displayed text averages out to a predetermined number of characters (e.g. 50-75 characters) per line. A display size and width of an average character are determined and used to calculate how many columns of text to display within the display. When the zoom level of the text changes, the text is redisplayed.

Abstract:
Materials and methods are provided for producing cell-surface directed, non-naturally occurring, bioinorganic membranes for association with the cell surfaces of living cells. The methods comprise exposing a cell to an acidic biomineralization buffer environment for cell-mediated deposition of the biomineral membrane onto the surface of the cell. The methods also comprise attaching a peptide, having a net positive charge under the acidic conditions, to the cell surface for serving as a template in directing the cell-mediated deposition of the biomineral membrane onto the surface of the cell.
Abstract:
A closed-loop control algorithm that reduces the increases in nitrogen oxides (NOx) commonly observed with biodiesel combustion while retaining particulate matter (PM) reductions with variable biodiesel blend fractions. One embodiment includes a control algorithm that is closed-loop with regards to combustible oxygen mass fraction (COMF) instead of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) fraction. Yet another algorithm includes biodiesel blend estimation and “fuel-flexible” accommodation. A physics-based model has also been developed which predicts experimentally observed engine performance and emissions for biodiesel.

In one embodiment, the occurrence of a condition is determined indicating at least one email message transfer of an email message by an email application, wherein determining the occurrence of the condition is external to the email application, the email message is identified, wherein the email message comprises event data, an email event is compiled from at least some of the event data, and the email event is indexed.

Third-party publishers (such as websites) provide online advertisements combined with social endorsement information to users. A request for an advertisement is received from a viewing user via a third-party publisher system. A particular advertisement is selected in response to this request, and one or more advertisement tags associated with the advertisement are retrieved. The advertisement tags comprise information related to the advertisement. Social networking system data for users related to the viewing user is retrieved. Social endorsement information is obtained using the social networking system data and the advertisement tags associated with the advertisement. The social endorsement information and the advertisement are then combined and transmitted to the third-party publisher system, or are transmitted individually for combination by the third-party publisher system.

A neural probe deployment system comprising a magnetic probe, a magnetic field generator acting on the magnetic probe, a first guiding tube disposed on a first side of the magnetic field generator, wherein the magnetic probe is loaded inside the first guiding tube, and a second guiding tube disposed on a second side of the magnetic field generator, wherein activation of the magnetic field generator propels the magnetic probe from the first guiding tube through the second guiding tube, thereby deploying the magnetic probe.
Abstract:
While the materials compatibility challenges have largely been met in “flex-fuel” vehicles, the engine and aftertreatment operation has not been optimized as function of fuel type (i.e. ethanol, biodiesel, etc.). The full-scale introduction of alternative fuels is most likely going to occur as blends with conventional fuels. This is seen to some extend with the limited introduction of E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline) and B20 (20% biodiesel, 80% conventional diesel.). This further exacerbates the challenge of accommodating variable fuel properties, as there will be differences in combustion properties due to both the type of alternative fuel (i.e. pure biodiesel vs. pure diesel) and blend ratio (i.e. B20 vs. B80). Real-time estimation of the fuel blend is key to the optimized use of two-component fuels (e.g. diesel-biodiesel, gasoline-ethanol, etc.). The approach outlined here uses knowledge of the exhaust composition, fuel and air delivery rates to the engine to estimate the fuel blend. The strategy is illustrated with a production wideband O2 in the engine's exhaust stream, coupled with the knowledge of the air-fuel ratio, to estimate the percentage of biodiesel in fuel being delivered to a 2007 Cummins turbo-diesel engine.
