Abstract:
Columns and/or rows of a report can be declaratively defined as either dynamic or static. The declarative definition can be represented by any marking. If a column or row is declaratively designated as dynamic, it can be expanded into a plurality of columns or rows. If a column or row is designated as static, it remains as a single column or row to represent only the specified column or row data. Subgroups of columns and rows can also be declaratively defined as dynamic or static. A static column or row may contain no sub-columns/rows, or it may contain a plurality of static columns/rows, a plurality of dynamic columns/rows, or any combination of both. Similarly, a dynamic column or row may also contain the above combinations.
Abstract:
A system that includes a magnetically actuated motion control device comprising a housing defining a cavity and including a slot therethrough. A movable member is located within the cavity and is movable relative to the housing. A magnetic field generator located on either the housing or the movable member causes the housing to press against the movable member to develop a friction force.
Abstract:
A method of preparing a clean substrate surface for blanket or selective epitaxial deposition of silicon-containing and/or germanium-containing films. In addition, a method of growing the silicon-containing and/or germanium-containing films, where both the substrate cleaning method and the film growth method are carried out at a temperature below 750° C., and typically at a temperature from about 700° C. to about 500° C. The cleaning method and the film growth method employ the use of radiation having a wavelength ranging from about 310 nm to about 120 nm in the processing volume in which the silicon-containing film is grown. Use of this radiation in combination with particular partial pressure ranges for the reactive cleaning or film-forming component species enable the substrate cleaning and epitaxial film growth at temperatures below those previously known in the industry.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for detecting and/or treating nervous system disorders, such as seizures, are disclosed. Certain embodiments of the invention relate generally to implantable medical devices (IMDs) adapted to detect and treat nervous system disorders in patients with an IMD. Certain embodiments of the invention include detection of seizures based upon comparisons of long-term and short-term representations of physiological signals. Other embodiments include prediction of seizure activity based upon analysis of physiological signal levels. An embodiment of the invention monitors the quality of physiological signals, and may be able to compensate for signals of low signal quality. A further embodiment of the invention includes detection of seizure activity following the delivery of therapy.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are disclosed for the formation of vaporizing liquid precursor materials. The methods or apparatus can be used as part of a chemical vapor deposition apparatus or system, for example for forming films on substrates. The methods and apparatus involve providing a vessel for containing a liquid precursor and diffusing element having external cross-section dimensions substantially equal to the internal cross-sectional dimensions of the vessel.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a member for reinforcing, sealing or baffling a structure of an article of manufacture such as an automotive vehicle. The member preferably includes a carrier member and an activatable (e.g., expandable, curable or both) material disposed upon a surface of the carrier member. The carrier member is preferably formed of a thermosettable material such as a molding compound (e.g., a sheet or bulk molding compound).
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are disclosed for the formation and utilization of metastable specie in a reaction chamber for processing substrates. The metastable specie may be used for etching the surface of substrates in situ, deposition processes during processing of the substrate.
Abstract:
A stream data node receives real-time streamed data from one or more input devices, dynamically filters the streamed data to reduce the streamed data, and delivers the reduced data when requested. By providing real-time filtering of the data, the amount of data that must be stored in a database may be substantially reduced. The stream data node can perform aggregation functions, group functions, and select functions, thereby also significantly reducing the amount of data that must be stored in a database. The stream data node may also be part of a query execution data structure, where it delivers its data when requested by another node in the query execution data structure.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for phase shifting neurological signals received from monitoring elements of a medical device. The medical device comprises a plurality of monitoring elements each receiving a neurological signal. The device processes the neurological signals and identifies a time shift of the neurological signal relative to each other. The neurological signals are then time shifted according to the time shift upon which the signals are utilized to provide closed-loop feedback control of a treatment therapy.
Abstract:
A processor for traversing deterministic finite automata (DFA) graphs with incoming packet data in real-time. The processor includes at least one processor core and a DFA module operating asynchronous to the at least one processor core for traversing at least one DFA graph stored in a non-cache memory with packet data stored in a cache-coherent memory.
