摘要: A lighting system for areal illumination is disclosed which includes a remote driver and a plurality of fixtures including luminaires, control devices, and/or standalone sensors. The luminaires include a light source whose output light level can be adjusted, a light sensor co-located therewith adapted to measure light received from adjacent fixtures, and a microcontroller capable of transmitting the output of the light sensor over wires to the remote driver. The remote driver is capable of bidirectional communication with the luminaires and provides independently controllable power for the light sources of the luminaires. A movable orb region containing luminaires can also be defined and the light levels of individual luminaires can be set according to their location within the orb region.

The remote driver is capable of bidirectional communication with the luminaires and provides independently controllable power for the light sources of the luminaires. A method of commissioning a lighting system is also disclosed which includes installing a plurality of luminaires above the area to be illuminated, causing a light source co-located with each luminaire to emit a signal, detecting the signal at light sensors co-located with each luminaire, converting the signals obtained by the light sensors into distance measurements between luminaires, creating a map recording the relative location of luminaires, and assigning luminaires to groups based on their relative locations in the map. A movable orb region large enough to containing a plurality of luminaires can also be defined and the light levels of individual luminaires can be set according to a defined mathematical function of their location within the orb region, where the defined mathematical function sets light levels which vary from the center to the periphery of said orb region.

摘要: Systems and methods for digital isolation in circuits are provided. On power-up in an isolation application, there may be multiple power supplies. For example, one for an input side and one for an output side, both in relation to an isolation barrier. Upon power up, the input and output may not be at the same state. The bias of the output may be the opposite of what is on the input. An isolator solution is provided which integrates the digital isolation into the analog solution. A DC signal corresponds to the static state of the data at start-up and an AC signal is generated when switching begins. In one example, the output level corresponds to the input level when the steady state information is encoded and sent across as an AC signal.

摘要: A method and system for optimally combining noisy measurements of attributes to obtain a composite statistically useful attribute result is disclosed. The method includes measuring a signal to noise ratio for each carrier in a pair, computing a signal to noise ratio power which is derived from said signal to noise ratio of each carrier in the pair and adding said signal to noise ratio powers that have been received within a predetermined period of time until the sum of said signal to noise ratio powers reaches a first threshold. The method continues with computing a weight based on the percentage of each measurements signal to noise ratio power in relation to said sum of said signal to noise ratio powers and deriving a statistically useful attribute result based at least in part on said weight of each signal to noise ratio power.

摘要: A power supply and a method of manufacture therefor. The power supply includes a circuit board containing conductors for interconnecting electrical components of the power supply and a thermally-conductive case having an integral electrically insulating layer. The thermally-conductive case forms a reservoir to receive the circuit board therein. The power supply further includes a power semiconductor device having a body connected in thermal communication with the thermally-conductive case and terminals coupled to the conductors of the circuit board. The power supply still further includes an encapsulant, located within the reservoir, capable of ensconcing the power semiconductor device and the electrical components. Additionally, electrical leads extend from the power supply that allows the power supply to be coupled to a printed wiring board.
