Abstract:
A beverage dispensing system that can dispense both cold and hot drinks from either cold drink capsules or hot drink capsules. The cold or hot drink capsule is inserted into the system, and the lid is manually closed. if a cold drink capsule has been inserted, a mechanism cracks the capsule along a predetermined seam, injects cold mixing fluid into the capsule, and then rotates the capsule to pour out or further flush out the cold drink into a cup. If a hot drink capsule has been inserted, the lid is closed, and a rotating needle pierces the top of the capsule. The capsule is then punctured from the bottom. Hot water can then be injected into the top of the capsule, and the hot drink can be removed from the bottom into a cup.
Abstract:
A gun stability plate assembly includes a widened body that attaches to the fore-end of a stock or chassis of a gun by means of a clamping device. The assembly includes a main body, a clamp assembly, and a track. The clamp assembly is in communication with the main body and is configured to translate adjacent an upper surface of the main body. A rotating knob regulates operation of the clamp by rotating about an axis. The axis of the knob is coplanar with a central plane of the main body. The track is formed into the main body and configured to seat the clamp. The track is recessed into the main body. An accessory aperture is located within the main body and configured to permit attachment of one or more accessories.
Abstract:
A health monitoring system which can collect data generated from multiple health, fitness, and environmental data generating devices by a health application running on a portable smart device, or a computing device that is connected to a wireless Bluetooth Network using Secure Simple Pairing. The generated data is collected by the health application that identifies the device and selectively connects, so that data transfer can be authenticated and securely transmitted.
Abstract:
A system for imaging and analyzing a vehicle may include a frame having a central passage, wherein the central passage is configured and dimensioned to allow a vehicle to pass through. The frame may include, for example, a pair of substantially vertical legs connected at the top by a cross member, wherein the legs and cross member define the central passage. One or more bollards may be positioned in front of and/or behind the frame. A plurality of cameras within the each leg, cross member, and/or bollard may be directed toward the passage to record video images of a passing vehicle. Integrated LED array panels may provide bands of light to aid in detection of surface anomalies, for example by simultaneous analysis of symmetrical sides of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented system and method for providing recurring residential parking reservations is provided. Motor vehicle parking spaces located in a residential area are managed through a server. Smart parking devices, vehicle occupancy sensors, and parking availability indicators are interfaced to the server. Use of the parking spaces by a resident is reserved on a recurring basis throughout a subscription period. A parking reservation, including recurring times and dates, is requested. The request is granted provided the parking space is available over any other reservations stored in the server. Use of the reserved parking space is managed throughout the subscription period. Occupancy of the requested parking space is sensed through the nearest vehicle occupancy sensor. A motorist's identity is verified through the nearest smart parking device. The use of the reserved parking space is denied if not by the resident and parking non-availability is indicated during each recurring time and date.
Abstract:
An online electronic wallet system and method provide secure storage and transmission of payment instrument information for use in completing online purchases initiated from a client device. A payment instrument's verification code is stored in an encrypted form in local storage on a client device and retrieved and re-encrypted along with other payment instrument information stored on the system using a merchant-specific key. An API library is used to integrate the online electronic wallet system with a registered merchant's purchase flow, including the ability to ensure receipt of an electronic receipt prior to communicating payment instrument information to a merchant server.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented system and method for providing basic valet parking through centrally-managed parking services is provided. Motor vehicle parking spaces are managed through a server. Smart parking devices physically proximate to the parking spaces are interfaced to the server. Vehicle occupancy sensors also physically proximate to the parking spaces are interfaced to the server. Parking availability indicators associated with the parking spaces are interfaced to the server. Use the parking spaces is reserved for a valet service. A reservation request for the parking spaces is accepted through the server for use by the valet service for a period of time. Occupancy of the reserved parking spaces by a motor vehicle through the nearest vehicle occupancy sensor is sensed during the time period. Availability of each parking space is indicated through the nearest parking availability indicator throughout the time period based upon the current time and use by the valet service.
Abstract:
A system and methods are disclosed for providing integrated software development environment for the design, verification and validation of advanced automotive safety systems. The system allows automotive software to be developed on a host computer using a collection of computer programs running simultaneously as processes and synchronized by a central process. The software disclosed uses separate synchronized processes, permitting signals from disparate sources to be generated by a simulation running on the host computer or from actual sensors and data bus signals coming from and going to actual vehicle hardware which is connected to their bus counterparts in the host computer on a real-time basis. The methods disclosed are for providing an Algorithm Prototyping, Analysis and Test through an integrated framework for dynamic data modeling and application development.
