Abstract: A system, computer-implemented method, and/or non-transitory computer-readable media may provide a warm start technique for cloud-hosted functions. Included is a non-transitory memory storage comprising instructions, and one or more processors in communication with the memory, wherein the one or more processors execute the instructions to identify a cloud-hosted function configured to be executed within a cloud computing environment. The cloud-hosted function is instantiated within the cloud-hosted computing environment. The one or more processors additionally execute the instructions to determine a hold (preservation) time to maintain the instantiation of the cloud-hosted function within the cloud computing environment, based on a plurality of function execution metrics calculated for the cloud-hosted function. The one or more processors further execute the instructions to maintain the instantiation of the cloud-hosted function within the cloud computing environment for the determined hold time.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology beam steering in which one or more antennas are configured to form a beam directed to a first beam direction based on a configuration corresponding to an environment. A change in direction of the beam is identified in response to a change in orientation of user equipment, the change in orientation determined via one or more sensors in the user equipment, and a second beam direction is calculated based on a the first beam direction and the change in orientation of the user equipment. The one or more antennas are then configured by steering the beam to the second beam direction to compensate for the change in orientation of the user equipment.

Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided to provide for Channel State Information (CSI) feedback of hybrid beamforming. In a first example embodiment, a method for signaling a beamforming reference signal (BFRS) is provided. A resource block is created for the BFRS, the resource block containing a plurality of resource elements, each resource element defined by a time-frequency resource within one subcarrier and one multiplexing symbol. A total number of analog transmit beams for the BFRS is then determined, along with grouping information for the analog transmit beams for the BFRS. Then, the resource block, the total number of analog beams, and the grouping information are transmitted from a first network controller to a user equipment (UE). Then the BFRS is transmitted from the first network controller to the UE.

Abstract: A method for generating a code, a method for encoding and decoding data, and an encoder and a decoder performing the encoding and decoding are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for lifting a child code from a base code for encoding and decoding data includes determining a single combination of a circulant size, a lifting function, and a labelled base matrix PCM according to an information length and a code rate using data stored in a lifting table. The lifting table was defined at a code generation stage. The method also includes calculating a plurality of shifts for the child code. Each shift is calculated by applying the lifting function to the labelled base matrix PCM with a defined index using the circulant size and using the derived child PCM to encode or decode data.
