Abstract:
Oleophilic compositions, coatings employing the same, and devices formed therefrom that exhibit one or more improved coating properties. The compositions may comprise a film-forming binder and, when at least partially coated and cured on a substrate, comprise: (a) a contact angle with water ranging from 50 to less than 78; and (b) a contact angle with squalene of less than 25. The coating compositions may include various binder compositions, including, for example, thermosetting acrylic polymers, thermoplastic acrylic polymers, radiation curable coating compositions, and alkoxide compositions. The resultant coatings exhibit one or more improved physical properties, such as improved gloss, improved stain and sebum resistance, and/or improved cleaning ability relative to existing coating systems when deposited over various substrates.
Abstract:
Coating compositions are disclosed that include an alkoxide and a silica sol that includes silica nanoparticles and a polymerizable (meth)acrylate binding agent. The polymerizable (meth)acrylate binding agent remains substantially uncrosslinked after the coating composition has been cured to form a hard coat. Also disclosed are articles at least partially coated with a hard coat deposited from such a coating composition, methods for depositing a hard coat on at least a portion of a plastic substrate, and methods for improving the adhesion and abrasion resistance of a coating composition.
Abstract:
Liquid compositions are disclosed that include a photocatalytic material and a hydrophilic binder that includes an essentially completely hydrolyzed organosilicate. Also disclosed are methods of making such compositions, methods of coating a substrate with a hydrophilic composition, and substrates coated with such compositions. The compositions may, for example, be embodied as stable one-pack compositions.

Abstract:
A hose connecting device has a connector, an inner locking ring, an outer connector and a tubal body. The connector has an insertion section and an engaging section, the engaging section has a size greater than the insertion section, and the engaging section further has a stopping ring at a top end. The inner locking ring is jacketed onto the engaging section of the connector and abutting the stopping ring of the connector. The inner locking ring has an outer threaded section and an abutting portion disposed at a bottom end of the inner locking ring. The outer connector has one of a female connector and a male connector, and a channel, the channel has a positioning step at a middle portion, an inner threaded section disposed below the positioning step of the channel. The tubal body is jacketed onto the insertion section of the connector.
Abstract:
A method is provided for determining reference signal positions in a frequency-time domain in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system. A plurality of sub-carriers are selected in one resource block according to a predetermined mother pattern for reference signal allocation. When a single resource block is assigned for transmission to a user, the reference signal positions are determined corresponding to the plurality of selected sub-carriers in the single resource block. When multiple resource blocks are assigned for transmission to a user, the reference signal positions are determined in the multiple resource blocks by reducing a number of the plurality of selected sub-carriers in the mother pattern for at least one of the multiple resource blocks.
Abstract:
A multi-step charge pump having a power input terminal and a power output terminal is provided. The multi-step charge pump includes a plurality of capacitors, wherein each of the capacitors has a capacitance. A plurality of switching devices is connected among the capacitors, the power input terminal and the power output terminal. A switch-controlling unit controls the on/off states of the switches, wherein a charging-phase circuit corresponding to a pumping level is formed to charge the capacitors and an output-phase circuit is formed to output a voltage from the power output terminal. At least one of the capacitors herein is changeably selected as a voltage-regulating capacitor.
Abstract:
