    Abstract: Facilitating energy-efficient wireless communications for advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, and beyond) with low-resolution digital-to-analog converters is provided herein. Operations of a system can comprise determining first values. Respective values of the first values can be digital samples of transmission and reception chains determined based on symbols transformed from bits. The operations can also comprise facilitating a quantization of the first values resulting in second values. Facilitating the quantization can be based on a cost function associated with processing the first values. Further, the operations can comprise outputting the second values as a continuous time signal over antennas of a base station device. The second values can comprise fewer values than the first values.

    Abstract: An example method may include a processing system of a device having a processor capturing, at a first position comprising a first location and a first spatial orientation of the device, a first measurement of a performance indicator based upon at least a first wireless signal from a base station of a beamformed wireless communication network and capturing, at a second position comprising a second location and a second spatial orientation of the device, a second measurement of the performance indicator based upon at least a second wireless signal from the base station of the beamformed wireless communication network. The method may include the processing system selecting a position for a deployment of the device based upon the first measurement of the performance indicator and the second measurement of the performance indicator and providing at least one instruction for the deployment of the device at the position that is selected.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for facilitating a discontinuous access to unlicensed spectrum in a new radio access environment. According an embodiment, a system can comprise performing a scanning procedure that determines whether a first subband and a second subband is available for transmission. The system can further facilitate determining whether the first subband and the second subband are adjacent, wherein a first channel formed at the first subband comprising a first guard band and a second channel formed at the second subband comprising a second guard band that is adjacent to the first guard band. The system can further facilitate in response to determining that the first subband and the second subband are adjacent and available for transmission, eliminating the first guard band and the second guard band.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a power control system in a multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network. In the multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network, a donor node can communicate with user equipment devices and relay nodes that have varying power levels; and to avoid receiving uplink transmissions with varying power levels which can impact automatic gain control systems and lower overall throughput, the power control system can manage the power levels of the relay node in order to reduce the difference in power levels. The power control system can schedule relay node devices to transmit uplink transmissions alongside user equipment devices that have a high signal strength; schedule relay nodes and user equipment devices to separate symbols within a time slot; and/or perform closed loop power control management at the relay node to reduce the power level for an uplink transmission.
