Abstract: Techniques and devices for service-specific tagging of data by an application processor (AP) of a user equipment device (UE). A first indication may be sent from the UE to a baseband processor (BB) of the UE of one or more quality of service preferences for an upcoming data session, and the BB may configure one or more layers of the BB according to the quality of service preferences. The BB may further communicate with a network to establish protocols for the quality of service preferences. The BB may determine one or more network conditions, and may transmit feedback from the BB to the AP related to the determined network conditions. In response, the AP may send a second indication of one or more updated quality of service preferences to the BB based at least in part on the feedback received from the BB.

Abstract: A mobile device (UE) may access standalone non-public networks (SNPNs) in various different locations as equivalent SNPNs (eSNPNs) corresponding to a home SNPN of the device. The device may obtain a list of eSNPNs corresponding to the home SNPN, and may access a second SNPN at a location different from a location of the home SNPN, in response to identifying the second SNPN and the list including the second SNPN as an eSNPN corresponding to the home SNPN of the device. The eSNPNs may include roaming eSNPNs (ReSNPNs) for accessing an enterprise NPN globally and/or at various different locations. The eSNPN/ReSNPN list may be maintained in a new network identifier management function (NMF). NPNs may be implemented as network slice instances (NSIs) via identifying data in the single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI). Multiple credentialed SNPNs of a UE may be prioritized for access by the UE.

Abstract: A device, system, and method uses a camp only mode based on a connectivity status. The method is performed at a device that is configured to establish a first connection to a first network and configured to establish a second connection to a second network. The method includes determining the connectivity status of the device. When the connectivity status indicates that the device has established the first connection, the method includes utilizing a camp-only mode to monitor the second network, the camp-only mode reducing a frequency of at least one type of operation associated with the second network, the camp-only mode configured to retain a capability of determining whether an emergency message is being broadcast over the second network.

Abstract: Various radio resource management techniques may be implemented to reduce in-device coexistence issues and/or interference between a Uu link established between a mobile device (first UE) and a base station (first NB), and a sidelink/PC5 link established between the first UE and another mobile device (second UE), where the second UE is served by a different base station (second NB). The first UE may receive, from the first NB, measurement configuration information that enables/configures the first UE to report to the NB any indication(s) of issues caused by communications between the first UE and the second UE over the PC5 link affecting communications between the first UE and the first NB over the Uu link, and/or communications over the Uu link affecting communications over the PC5 link. The first NB may analyze the feedback from the first UE and may implement mitigation measures to reduce/eliminate any interference and/or in-device-coexistence issues.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for dynamically changing coverage modes and/or communication bandwidth in a wireless communication system. According to some embodiments, a wireless device may attach to a serving cell associated with a cellular network. A volume of data for upcoming communication with the cellular network may be determined. An indication of a requested communication bandwidth may be provided to the serving cell. The wireless device may communicate data with the serving cell using the requested communication bandwidth. In some instances, a request for narrowband communication bandwidth may result in use of a coverage enhancement mode, while a request for wideband communication bandwidth may result in use of a normal coverage mode.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to apportioning data between network links in dual-connectivity environments. In some embodiments, a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity implemented by a mobile device determines a ratio for sending packet data to two or more different radio link control (RLC) entities implemented by the mobile device for dual connectivity communications via two or more different networks. In some embodiments, in response to a current data volume meeting a threshold value, the PDCP entity apportions packet data between the two or more different RLC entities based on the determined ratio. The ratio may be determined based on various input parameters from one or more protocol layers or may be specified by the network. In various embodiments, the disclosed techniques may improve resource utilization and reduce re-ordering delay at the receiver.
