摘要: In the case of delivering first-edition data, a distribution data amount increases, resulting in increases in lengths of download time and update time. In a data allocation system including a vehicle-mounted device coupled to a server via a network, the server creates from a data group held by the in-vehicle device difference data indicating a difference(s) between object data and analogous data obtained by combining together analogous data blocks similar to the object data, and delivers allocation information of the difference data and analogous data to the in-vehicle device. This in-vehicle device prepares analogous data from its owning data group in accordance with the allocation information of the analogous data received, and rebuilds for installation the object data from the prepared analogous data and received difference data.

摘要: [Problem] To provide a charging system that levels the amount of grid power that is used, and that is capable of reducing power rates, even if charging has been frequently conducted without limiting the time zones in which charging is conducted. [Solution] A charging system is provided with: a storage unit that is charged by consuming grid power supplied by a power company, and that supplies the stored power through discharge; and a charging unit that charges batteries by consuming power supplied by grid power and the storage unit. Power companies set a power rate that is higher the greater the maximum value of the amount of power supplied for each unit of time is. Furthermore, at least a single charge carried out by the charging unit is carried out over two units of time, and the storage unit supplies power to the charging unit in at least one unit of time other than said two units of time.

摘要: A code amount control method used in a video encoding method for performing code amount control by estimating a generated code amount for an encoding target picture. The control method includes steps of computing a feature value of the encoding target picture and stores the value into a storage device; extracting a feature value of a previously-encoded picture stored in the storage device and used for generated code amount estimation; comparing the feature values of the encoding target picture and the previously-encoded picture; and a step performed according to a result of the comparison. If it is determined that difference between both feature values is larger than a predetermined criterion value, the amount of code generated for the encoding target picture is estimated using no result of encoding of the previously-encoded picture, and otherwise the relevant generated code amount is estimated based on a result of the encoding.

摘要: A first transfer circuit includes pipeline circuits having different number of stages, and switch circuits that exclusively supply the pipeline circuits with first and second read data. A second transfer circuit includes pipeline circuits having different number of stages, and switch circuits that exclusively supply the pipeline circuits with third and fourth read data. Outputs of the first and second transfer circuits are sequentially output from a multiplex circuit. When a first operation mode is selected, all the pipeline circuits are activated. When a second operation mode is selected, one of the pipeline circuits in the first transfer circuit and one of the pipeline circuits in the second transfer circuit are activated, whereas the others of the pipeline circuits are inactivated.

摘要: An intra prediction encoding control method used in intra prediction encoding having a plurality of prediction modes and prediction block sizes, wherein the prediction mode and the prediction block size each can be switched when encoding is performed. The method includes a step of computing a flatness degree index which indicates a degree of flatness of a target area for encoding; a step of determining a prediction block size used in intra prediction encoding of the target area, in accordance with the computed flatness degree index; and a step of selecting a prediction mode used in the intra prediction encoding of the target area, for the determined prediction block size.

摘要: When a power supply is cut off on updating programs, improper data remains since the power source to be supplied to the vehicle-mounted device is unstable. The check for the improper data and restoration processing are required for a reactivation processing implemented by an update processing unit so that the update is completed correctly, therefore, the user is waited. In contrast, the update processing also implemented by the update processing unit for a time period during which the power source becomes unstable is interrupted, and implemented for the time period during which the power source voltage is stable. In consequence, the update processing is carried on steadily without making the user wait.
