摘要: A feedback control system for an internal combustion engine, particularly as utilized in an outboard motor. An oxygen sensor outputs a signal indicative of the fuel-air ratio for controlling the charge-forming system of the engine to maintain the desired fuel-air ratio. A series of filters, each tuned for a different frequency and a different engine speed, are interposed between the sensor and the control for reducing the effect of noise.

摘要: In a jet loom, a weft insertion start timing, a jet injection start timing of a main weft inserting nozzle and a jet injection stop timing of auxiliary weft inserting nozzles are controlled on the basis of empirical rules. A weft insertion control program incorporating the empirical rules is provided for a control computer for controlling an energization start timing of a solenoid, an energization start timing of an electromagnetic valve and a deenergization timing of an electromagnetic valve on the basis of the weft insertion start timing obtained from a weft release detector and the weft leading end arrival timing obtained from a weft detector. The control program is so prepared as to detect the control quantities for the detected data on the basis of specific correspondence relations between sequential arrayed data including a plurality of weft insertions start timing data and a plurality of weft leaving and arriving timing data, both data being classified in a particular order in accordance with empirical rules, and sequentially arrayed control quantities also classified in a particular order in accordance with an empirical rule.

摘要: A fuel injection control system for a two cycle crankcase compression internal combustion engine wherein two sensors are provided for sensing air flow by measuring different engine running conditions. One sensor has a greater accuracy in a certain range of operation than the other and the system primarily sets the fuel injection based upon the output of the more sensitive sensor for the running condition. In the event of failure of the more sensitive sensor, the system defaults to control by the other sensor. The system bases the control on average readings over a number of cycles and also senses fault by determining when a sensor outputs a number of erroneous signals that are greater than a predetermined percentage.

摘要: A seat belt retractor, a reel of which is rotated by a winding spring and a tightening spring when shock is applied on the automobile body. The winding spring is provided to a reel which winds a seat belt, while the tightening spring is provided to a shaft. In a normal condition, the reel is separated from the shaft by a clutch. Resilient force of the tightening spring is stored to the shaft by a stopper. In a normal condition, the seat belt is retracted only by the winding spring. When shock is applied on the automobile body, the stopper releases the shaft, which rotates by the tightening spring. Then, the clutch connects the shaft and the reel, whereby the seat belt is retracted by the winding spring and the tightening spring.

摘要: An after glow control system for an engine, which controlls the voltage to be applied to glow plugs of the engine, is disclosed. The system comprises a first electric path through which a voltage is applied from a battery to glow plugs during the preheating period and a second electric path which is connected to the first electric path in parallel and through which a voltage is applied from the battery to the glow plugs during the after glow period. In the second electric path, a voltage dropping circuit of a switching type is provided. The voltage dropping circuit is provided with a switching means between the battery and the glow plugs and a switching control circuit which controls the opening and closing period of the switching means. The switching control circuit is provided with a set voltage generating circuit and a comparator which compares the output voltage of the voltage dropping circuit with the set voltage generated by the set voltage generating circuit and controls the opening and closing period of the switching means so as to keep the voltage to be applied to the glow plugs nearly equal to the set voltage. The set voltage generating circuit can be provided with a means for selecting a set voltage in accordance with the engine temperature.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting photoelectrically a particle agglutination pattern formed on a conical bottom surface of a reaction vessel is disclosed. A lamp and a diffusion plate are arranged above the reaction vessel to illuminate the particle pattern and an objective lens and a light detector are arranged underneath the reaction vessel to form an image of the particle pattern on the light detector. In order to prevent a relatively sharp image of the diffusion plate from being formed on the light detector, an optical correction plate having a conical projection formed in its lower surface is arranged immediately below the reaction vessel. The optical correction plate may be secured to a lower surface of the reaction vessel or may be integrally formed with the reaction vessel on its lower surface.

摘要: An apparatus for separating suspended solids from a liquid includes a tank, a floating bed of granular filter material held at the upper portion of the tank at the time of filtration, a feed pipe for feeding the liquid at a position between a filtering section and a sedimenting section, a hollow member or members which are arranged within the tank at a position below the position of the filter bed but above the position of the feed pipe, an air supply pipe which blows air up through the hollow member or members, thereby creating a turbulence required for effective backwashing, an arrangement for bringing the filter bed down to a position where the lowermost surface of the filter bed is held below a position substantially flush with the top end of the hollow member or members, a means for discharging a filtrate from the tank which is arranged in the top portion thereof, and a means for discharging a deposit of the suspended solids from the tank, which is equipped at the bottom portion thereof. The backwashing is carried out when the filter bed comes down to a desired level by blowing air from the air supply pipe through the hollow portion of the hollow member or members, thereby creating a turbulence in the filter bed and consequently removing the suspended solids entrapped in the interstices between the filter material particles. The water rinsing may be coupled with the air blowing.

摘要: A fuel supply system for a boat, which prevents fuel piping from becoming complicated, includes a vapor separator unit connected to a fuel tank that is mounted on a hull and holds fuel supplied to an engine section, a low-pressure pump arranged to discharge the fuel reserved in the fuel tank into the vapor separator unit, and a mounting hole for a valve, a fuel passage section, and a pipe section (relief path) that return the fuel discharged by the low-pressure pump to the suction opening section side of the low-pressure pump when a tank section is filled with a predetermined amount of fuel. The mounting hole for the valve, the fuel passage section, and the pipe section (relief path) are integral with the vapor separator unit.
