    摘要: A stereoscopic image display apparatus comprising a light source for emitting light from plural apertures, an optical element array composed of an array of optical elements having different optical functions in the horizontal and vertical directions, for giving directivity to the light emerging from the apertures, and a transmissive display device for displaying a stripe image, obtained by dividing each of a parallax image for the right eye and a parallax image for the left eye in the vertical direction to obtain right stripe pixels and left stripe pixels and arranging the right and left stripe pixels alternately in a predetermined order, wherein the plural apertures are provided corresponding to each of the optical elements constituting the optical element array, for each stripe pixel, and are adapted to cause the light, passing through the right or left stripe pixel, to reach a predetermined area.

    摘要: An image display system includes a display capable of performing mixed display of 2D and 3D images and a host computer for supplying image data to the display. An image source generation unit of the host computer generates image data to be displayed on the display. A 3D display position/area information generation unit generates area information indicating the 3D image area of the image data. A display mode setting unit generates display mode information on the basis of the setting indicating whether to perform mixed display. In the display, when a display mode detection unit detects the execution of mixed display from the display mode information, a 3D display position/area control unit ensures a 3D display area in accordance with the area information, and an image display unit performs mixed display.

    摘要: According to the present invention, when a current system is switched to a spare system in a transmission system in an asynchronous transfer mode, empty cells transmitted in the current and spare systems are detected, and thereby a timing for switching the current system to the spare system is determined. When no phase difference is existent between the current and spare systems, an empty cell is detected in both the current and spare systems at the same time. Therefore, the current system is switched to the spare system, when an empty cell is detected in both the current and spare systems at the same time. When a shade difference is existent, if an empty cell is detected either in the current or spare systems, another empty cell is inserted in to the systems. Then, the data of the empty cell in a spare system is saved. After the empty cell in a current system passes, the current system is switched to the spare system. When a phase difference of at least one cell is existent, and if an empty cell comes earlier in current system, empty cell are kept inserted form when the empty cell is detected in the current system until an empty cell is detected in the spare system. After that, the current system is switched to the spare system. When an empty cell comes earlier in a spare system, the data of the cell in the spare system is saved from when the empty cell is detected until an empty cell is detected in the current system. After that, the current system is switched to the spare system.
