    摘要: An encoding apparatus which forms sector units of data, to each of which a header and an error detection code are added, from record data to be recorded on an optical disk, arranges a plurality of the sector units of data to form a matrix that is a block unit of data, scrambles the block unit of data exclusive of the headers and error detection codes, appends a first error correction code for each row of the block unit of data, and appends a second error correction code for each column of the block unit of data. The encoding apparatus comprises a generator of the error detection codes; a section that performs the scrambling; a generator of the first error correction codes; a generator of the second error correction codes; and an encoding controller that controls the processes in the above sections to be performed in parallel.

    摘要: In a borosilicate glass plate containing Li.sub.2 O, Na.sub.2 O and K.sub.2 O and for use as a window plate in an alumina package for containing a semiconductor device, Li.sup.+ and Na.sup.+ ions are partially ion-exchanged by K.sup.+ ions in a surface of the glass plate to form a surface layer having a compressive stress of 200 Kg.f/cm.sup.2 or more, in order to make a thin window glass plate for the package having a thickness of 0.7 mm or less and a sufficient mechanical strength. The glass also has a thermal expansion coefficient of 50-75.times.10.sup.-7 /.degree. C. over a temperature range of 30.degree.-380.degree. C. so as to be thermally compatible with the alumina package. The glass consists essentially of SiO.sub.2 55-64%, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 7-20%, B.sub.2 O.sub.3 11-19%, Li.sub.2 O 0-8%, Na.sub.2 O 7-20%, K.sub.2 O 0-4%, and RO 0.5-7% on the base of weight percent, where R is at least one of Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba. In order to insure the ion exchange, amounts of Li.sub.2 O, Na.sub.2 O and K.sub.2 O are adjusted so that (Li.sub.2 O+Na.sub.2 O/(Li.sub.2 O+Na.sub.2 O+K.sub.2 O) is 0.7 or more.

    摘要: A lithium-ion secondary battery comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode is provided. The positive electrode comprises as a positive electrode active material a lithium transition metal composite oxide having a layered structure. The composite oxide contains as its metal components at least one species of Ni, Co and Mn as well as W and Ca. The composite oxide contains 0.26 mol % or more, but 5 mol % or less of W and Ca combined when all the metal elements contained in the oxide excluding lithium account for a total of 100 mol %, with the ratio (mW/mCa) of the number of moles of W contained, mW, to the number of moles of Ca contained, mCa, being 2.0 or larger, but 50 or smaller.

    摘要: An electrode is provided with a metal terminal extending from a battery module main body, a bolt which has an expanded section configuring a retaining section at a rear end portion and penetrates the metal terminal upward, and an insulating body which insulates the metal terminal and the battery module case one from the other. The insulating body is provided with a drop preventing section which abuts at least a lower surface of the expanded section of the bolt and prevents the bolt from dropping from the metal terminal.
