摘要: An expert system infers by using deep knowledge and shallow knowledge. The deep knowledge may be physical rules which are basically satisfied in an electrical circuit which is an object of inference, and the shallow knowledge may be assumption knowledge derived from expert experience relating to the electrical circuit. The deep knowledge includes structure information of the object of inference and equation information representing behavior of the object. The structure of the shallow knowledge, which includes a concluding equation derived by omitting a portion of the equation of the deep knowledge, a conditional equation representing a condition under which the concluding equation is satisfied and the omitted item, is made essentially similar to the structure of the deep knowledge so that both the deep knowledge and the shallow knowledge are uniformly handled in one inference process.

摘要: An output signal of a vibration sensor mounted on an internal combustion engine is compared with a background noise reference signal to produce a knock signal which can accurately represent the intensity of knocking. The background noise level signal is produced by averaging a component of the vibration sensor output signal which represents the vibration of the engine other than knock-induced vibration. In order to produce a feedback signal for inhibiting the knock induced component of the sensor output signal, a first comparator compares the sensor output signal with a first reference signal having a sufficiently low level. Knock signal is produced by a second comparator which receives a second reference signal, which is proportional to the first reference signal but having sufficiently higher level, thereby enabling a precise determination of knock intensity.

摘要: An optical information reading device for character recognition and processing having an array of luminous diodes to illuminate the material to be read. A sensor transmits received data signals to a pattern indentification circuit. The signals are also transmitted to a light control circuit to vary the illumination to the array to provide uniform lighting of the characters to be read.

摘要: The present invention relates to a terminal structure and an electronic device having the terminal structure. The terminal structure includes: a terminal having: a conductor layer containing at least one metal selected from gold, silver, and copper; a first layer containing nickel and phosphorus, laid on the conductor layer; a second layer having a smaller atomic ratio of nickel to phosphorus than the first layer and containing Ni3P, laid on the first layer; and a third layer containing a first intermetallic compound of an Ni—Cu—Sn type, laid on the second layer; and a solder layer on the third layer of the terminal. A second intermetallic compound of an Ni—P—Sn type partly covers a surface of the second layer on the third layer side and a maximum thickness of the second intermetallic compound in a lamination direction is from 0.05 to 0.7 μm.

摘要: In an apparatus for optically reading out through an imaging optics a first image of information by a photodetector. The information is attached to a target. In the apparatus, a marker beam irradiating unit irradiates on a target a marker beam for indicating a field of view of the photodetector on the target. A first pickup unit causes the photodetector to pick up through the imaging optics a second image of the target based on the field of view while the marker beam is being irradiated on the target by the marker beam irradiating device. A position detecting unit detects a position of the marker beam being irradiated on the target with respect to the field of view based on the picked-up second image. A distance determining unit determines a distance between the apparatus and the target based on the detected position of the marker beam.
