摘要: A case nitrided aluminum product is produced by contacting an aluminum product with a nitriding agent at a part of a surface thereof at least, and by nitriding the aluminum product at the surface with an ambient gas at a temperature of a melting point of the aluminum product or less while keeping the aforementioned contact. The nitriding agent includes an aluminum powder, and the ambient gas virtually includes a nitrogen gas. The resulting nitriding layer has a depth of 5 micrometers or more, and it exhibits a case hardness of from 250 to 1,200 mHv. Thus, it is possible to form the deep and hard nitriding layer on the aluminum product with ease under the conditions where it has been said to be too difficult to nitride aluminum products. The case nitrided aluminum product can appropriately make sliding parts which require high wear resistance.

摘要: In order to provide a control apparatus for an air conditioning system for an electric vehicle which achieves smooth switching of operating modes, a decision is made as to whether or not the operating mode set by a means for air conditioning mode setting has been maintained for a specific length of time and also, a decision is made by a means for compressor rotation rate decision making as to whether or not the actual rotation rate of the compressor is at the minimum rotation rate. With this, if the operating mode set by the means for air conditioning mode setting has not been maintained for the specific length of time, or, if the operating mode has been maintained for the specific length of time but the actual rotation rate of the compressor is not at the minimum, the rotation rate of the compressor is set at the minimum rate by a means for shift mode setting so that the operating mode is switched only when the operating mode set by the means for air conditioning mode setting has been maintained for the specific length of time and the actual rotation rate of the compressor is at the minimum rate, and the compressor is controlled based upon the air conditioning level set by the means for air conditioning mode setting.

摘要: In an apparatus for controlling a variable displacement compressor incorporated in an automobile air-conditioner, the displacement of the compressor is varied with a change in the target cooling temperature. The change rate of the target cooling temperature thus changed is limited to such an extent that a sudden change in displacement of the compressor is prevented to maintain the drivability of an automobile and to change the cooling power of the evaporator gently, thereby keeping a pleasant feeling during the temperature regulating operation. The change rate of the target cooling temperature can be selected from a plurality of predetermined values to meet a current controlling condition so that the reliability of the air-conditioner is improved.

摘要: A demisting control system of an air conditioner for automotive vehicles, which comprises an evaporator, and a variable capacity compressor capable of being controlled in capacity from the outside. An actual cooling degree of the evaporator is detected. At least two desired cooling degrees of the evaporator are set. The detected actual cooling degree and each of the set at least two desired cooling degrees are compared with each other. On the basis of the comparison results, a value of the capacity to which the compressor is to be controlled is determined. The at least two desired cooling degrees are selected one by one in predetermined sequence and each selected desired cooling degree is compared with the actual cooling degree as above for a predetermined time period exclusively provided therefor. The compressor is driven so that its capacity is brought to the value of capacity determined as above.

摘要: Wireless noise is detected within a time period specifically held after a data packet is wirelessly communicated, where no data is purposefully wirelessly communicated during this time period. The time period may be an inter-frame space (IFS) period within which no data is to be wirelessly communicated, and that is a period waited for prior to accessing a wireless medium over which data is wirelessly communicated. One or more actions are performed to counteract the noise. The frequency at which a liquid crystal display is being driven may be decreased so that harmonics caused thereby that caused the noise are no longer within the wireless communication frequency range. An opposite-in-phase version of the noise may also or alternatively be combined with a signal when data is subsequently wirelessly received. The signal includes a data component and a noise component, the opposite-in-phase version of the noise canceling out the noise component.

摘要: A method that utilizes software and hardware mechanisms to meet the FCC requirement for a U-NII antenna to be an integral part of the device in which it operates, while providing wireless ready U-NII devices and CRUable U-NII radios. Enhancements are made to the software BIOS, including the inclusion of a table of approved radio-antenna PCI ID pairs to create an authentication scheme that verifies and authenticates the radio and antenna combination as being an FCC-approved unique coupling during boot-up of the system. The BIOS also comprises an OEM field that stores an encrypted secret key utilized to complete a second check of the radio model placed in the device. During boot up of the device, the PCI ID pairs from the BIOS are compared against the PCI ID of the radio and the secret key is checked against the radio model. Only a system with an approved combination of radio and antenna is allowed to complete the boot process, indicating an FCC approved device-antenna-radio combination under the “integral” requirement.
