According to one embodiment of the invention, a method of operating a DCR (deregistration with content retention) mode of a mobile station in a broadband wireless access system includes the steps of transmitting a registration request (AAI_REG-REQ) message to a base station and receiving a registration response (AAI_REG-RSP) message including an identifier for identifying the mobile station in association with connection information (AMS context) of the mobile station in a network including a base station from the base station.

摘要： A method for inter RAT handover is disclosed. The method for inter RAT handover comprises measuring cell quality of WiMAX neighbor cells from a user equipment of E-UTRAN and transmitting the measured result to an origin base station; and if RRC message is received from the origin base station, the RRC message including WiMAX signal, pre-registering with a target WiMAX base station using tunneling based on second layer protocol. Therefore, the user equipment can continue to receive a service with maintaining current service quality even though the user equipment moves to a heterogeneous network. In addition, it is possible to reduce the time required for the user equipment to perform handover to the target base station. Moreover, if there is a failure of a radio link when the user equipment performs handover, it is possible to enable fast recovery.

摘要： A method for supporting a handover on the basis of the distance from an intermediate access point to a user equipment includes receiving uplink message set information of the user equipment from a serving base station of the user equipment; receiving the uplink message transmitted by predetermined transmitting power from the user equipment, and detecting the user equipment which has sent the uplink message on the basis of the uplink message set information; determining the receiving power by which said uplink message is received; calculating the distance between the intermediate access point and the detected user equipment by using said predetermined transmitting power and said receiving power; and performing a subsequent handover based on the distance calculated in the previous step.

摘要： A method of scanning neighboring target RATs (Radio Access Technology). The method according to one embodiment includes transmitting a message including a field indicating whether or not the mobile station supports the inter-RAT handover while performing a network entry process; transmitting a request for information about another RAT only if the inter-RAT handover is supported by the mobile station; and, in response to the request, receiving information about a recommended RAT from the base station. The information about the recommended RAT is selected based on the location information. The method according to the embodiment further includes performing the scanning of the neighboring target RATs using the information about the recommended RAT; and reporting a result of the scanning. The performing of the scanning is triggered when channel quality falls below a certain threshold. The receiving information is in response to, both, the transmitted message, and the transmitted request.

摘要： A method of scanning cells based on location based service (LBS) information and selecting heterogeneous cells is provided. The method includes, at a mobile station, setting a supplementary field of a registration request message and notifying a base station whether or not handover based on location information is supported, while performing a network entry process, generating location based service (LBS) information while scanning is performed using the coordinates of base stations of an LBS advertisement message received from the base station, if channel quality measured by the mobile station is less than a threshold value, including the generated LBS information in a scanning report message and transmitting the scanning report message to the base station, receiving recommended base station information of the heterogeneous cells selected based on the LBS information from the base station, and performing the scanning on the basis of the recommended base station information. By this configuration, it is possible to reduce a time consumed for the scanning performed by the mobile station and reduce the latency of cell selection/reselection/handover, by reducing the number of target cells which will be scanned by the mobile station on the basis of the LBS information of the mobile station in the scanning process which is performed before the cell selection/reselection/handover between the heterogeneous cells.

If the M2M SMS request is accepted by a base station, the M2M device transmits a second ranging request message including the M2M SMS based on the basic CID, and receives a second ranging response message including a M2M SMS confirmation indicating whether the reception of the M2M SMS is successful or not by the base station.
