    Abstract: The woodworking doweling jig has first and second clamp members slidably mounted on guide rods. Drill guide holes are provided in the clamp members or in separately adjustable drill guide members. When the separate drill guide members are provided, they are slidably mounted on the guide rods to maintain alignment. Dowel guide slots are provided in an alignment member which may be part of the upper clamp member. The alignment member has dowel guide slots in it which are in alignment with the drill guide holes in the guide member(s). Adjustment can provide for dowel drilling the same distance from one workpiece surface for aligning the surface. The jig can also be used for mounting the end of one plank against the side of a second plank either at its end or away from the end.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for fermenting and composting food waste which can compost food waste having much more weight by decomposing and practically reducing the waste at the source, such as homes, restaurants, etc., directly, or ferment them by fermenting or drying them, if needed. A fermenting barrel of U-shaped cross-section with a filling opening and a discharging opening is formed on a frame at the inner side of the apparatus. A rotating stirring shaft is formed in the fermenting barrel so that the rotating stirring shaft passes through the center of the fermenting barrel. A decelerator is connected at one end of the rotating stirring shaft by gears, and a blower is connected at the other end of the rotating stirring shaft through a connecting pipe. A ventilating pipe with a plurality of ventilating holes on the rotating stirring shaft is connected with the rotating stirring shaft in parallel. Supporting shafts are radially arranged apart from each other, and rotating stirring wings in the shape of triangular cones having an arc-shaped bottom portion are formed at the ends of the supporting shafts. An electric heating coil is wound on the outer surface of the fermenting barrel and is covered by a heat shielding layer. A suction pipe is mounted so that it passes through the upper portion of the fermenting barrel.

    Abstract: The carrier opener system has a channel and guide pins for retaining and accurately positioning a carrier which has a component captured therein. A driver moves from a first to a second position and moves a carriage from a first to a second position where guide pins positively locate the carrier and release fingers enter the carrier. Motion of the driver from the second to the third position does not move the carrier, but moves the release fingers to engage in the carrier to uncaptivate the component for its subsequent removal. In still another embodiment, two pocket-drills are slidably mounted on a block so as to drill two pocket-holes and to adjust pocket-hole spacing. In still another embodiment, a mounting structure is disposed either underneath or above the work surface to mount drilling module(s) so as to drill multiple pocket-holes into a wide workpiece at one setup. In still another embodiment, a drill guide forms a clearance for the cutting edges of the step-drill to minimize wear on the edges. In a further embodiment, an actuator provides both clamping and drilling movements, wherein the actuator is an electric motor or a hand lever.

    Abstract: The brush applicator has a tapered inner wall and inwardly extended flange inside of a nozzle, which secures a molded or crimped brush assembly. Two edge applicators apply a substantially uniform thin layer of adhesive or glue only on the edge surface of a workpiece. A first edge applicator applies glue through an exit and a second embodiment of the edge applicator has a roller with side flanges and with a reduced portion in-between. A flat surface applicator may have plural vanes and channels inside of two outer walls to distribute adhesive to a wider flat exit. A biscuit applicator applies glue on two side surfaces of elliptical slots that are formed by biscuit cutters. The glue flows through plural vanes or plural transversely positioned openings and passes to form two opposite layers of glue. A dowel applicator applies a thin substantially uniform layer of glue on the wall of a dowel-receiving hole prior to installation of dowel pins. The glue is applied using a cylindrical nozzle body with plural projections and a reduced diameter portion. A wet well prevents applicator from clogging by hardened glue. The wet well fits tightly over the cap and the entire inner space of the wet well is saturated with moisture/solvent from a water/solvent retainer. A viscous-material applicator dispenses a plurality of beads on the floor or on backside of the workpieces. The viscous-material applicator includes a nozzle that has a flat but wide exit at outlet end, wherein the nozzle has plural vanes or flow restraints to diverge the flow of adhesive to a wider outlet end that has a plurality of orifices.
