摘要: A sending apparatus includes: a wavelength path multiplexing part; a sending wavelength path selection part; and an optical transmitter having optical sending parts. The wavelength path multiplexing part includes: sending wavelength path demultiplexing ports; and sending wavelength multiplexing ports connected thereto. The sending wavelength path multiplexing ports are connected to optical transmission paths respectively. The sending wavelength path selection part includes a wavelength multiplexing parts which multiplexing a set combination of optical signals among the optical signals inputted to the sending input ports and outputs it to any of the sending output ports. In the wavelength path sending or receiving by the wavelength path multiplexing/demultiplexing optical transmission apparatus, a non-selectable combination between a wavelength and a route can be avoided.

摘要: When a control code detection unit detects a control code, an image storage unit stores the image data of pages that are entered after the page with the control code added thereto. A control code decision unit decides the content of control for the output processing of the image data based on all the control codes detected by the control code detection unit. Then, based on the content of control decided by the control code decision unit, a control unit controls the output processing of the image data stored in the image storage unit.

摘要: The present invention provides a small optical waveguide structure capable of converting the spot size of light, and capable of reducing the conversion loss when compared under the condition of the same waveguide length and performing an optical conversion with high efficiency. An optical waveguide structure (100) includes a base waveguide (110) including a taper section (111) whose width becomes continuously narrower from one side toward another side, and a narrow-width section (112) that is consecutively connected to a narrow-width side of the taper section (111) and extends toward the another side. In the optical waveguide structure (100), at least three-layered upper waveguides (121 to 123) each of which has a planar shape smaller than the taper section (111) and includes a planar-view-roughly-wedge-shaped section whose width becomes continuously narrower from the one side toward the another side at least on a tip side are stacked above the taper section (111) of the base waveguide (110) in such a manner that the planar shape becomes successively smaller from the base waveguide side (110).

摘要: A first laser source is arranged on a transmitting side of a polarizing beam splitter, while a second laser source is arranged on a reflecting side of the polarizing beam splitter. The splitting surface of the polarizing beam splitter has a film characteristic of substantially transmitting s-polarization component of the laser light having the first wavelength emitted by the first laser source and substantially reflecting s-polarization component of the laser light having the second wavelength emitted by the second laser source. A plate-like beam splitter serves to introduce laser light reflected off of a signal recording medium into an optical detector by directing the laser light away from the optical path in which the laser sources are located. The plate-like beam splitter includes a splitting surface which has a reflectance that is higher than its transmittance.

摘要: A disclosed network communication apparatus for performing communication via an IP network includes: a packet generation unit generating packets for call connection including facsimile communication capability and voice capability; and a communication control unit requesting a target network communication apparatus for connection using the packets for call connection upon facsimile transmission and establishing a facsimile communication channel and a voice channel to perform the facsimile transmission. Upon facsimile transmission, the communication control unit requests the target apparatus for connection using the packets for call connection. When the target apparatus rejects the connection request, the communication control unit reissues a call to the target apparatus and requests the target apparatus for connection of a voice channel to establish the voice channel, and then the communication control unit receives a request for connection of a facsimile communication channel from the target apparatus to establish the facsimile communication channel.
