Abstract:
An article that is particularly well suited for use as a gas turbine engine component has a metallic substrate and a ceramic thermal barrier layer including a mixed metal oxide system comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of (i) a lanthanum aluminate and (ii) a calcium zirconate, the calcium in which is partially replaced by at least one calcium-substitute element, such as strontium (Sr) or barium (Ba). In addition, the lanthanum in the lanthanum aluminate can be partially replaced by a lanthanum-substitute element from the lanthanide group, particularly gadolinium (Gd). A process for producing such an article comprises providing a pre-reacted mixed metal oxide system as described above and applying it to the substrate by plasma spraying or an evaporation coating process.
Abstract:
In a control arrangement for an internal combustion engine having a cylinderhead with a compressed air discharge valve and a compressed air system with a compressed air tank to which compressed air can be supplied from the engine cylinder by way of a connecting line, pressurized control fluid can be supplied to the compressed air discharge valve for opening the compressed air discharge valve for motor braking operation of the engine, and a bypass line including a control valve is provided by way of which the compressed air discharge valve can be directly controlled for supplying compressed air to the compressed air tank.
Abstract:
Reliable phase synchronicity between a local carrier signal and the carrier signal of an amplitude and/or phase shift keyed received signal is produced as quickly as possible by employing a phase detector characteristic whose root means square outside of the synchronization point is as large as possible and whose synchronization point, i.e., zero passage, is situated such that it also considers a phase deviation of the received signal component from its quadrature position.
Abstract:
A demodulator circuit for demodulating an input signal constituted by a modulated carrier. The circuit is provided with a phase control loop composed of a signal mixer having two inputs and an output and providing a signal at its output proportional to the algebraic product of the signals at its inputs, one of the mixer inputs being arranged to receive the demodulator circuit input signal, a voltage controlled oscillator having a control input and an output connected to the other input of the mixer and providing a signal at a frequency varying linearly with the voltage at its control input, and a lowpass filter connected between the mixer output and the oscillator control input. The components of the loop present a set of parameters defining the operation of the loop, which parameters include the peak voltage at the output of the oscillator, the oscillator modulation sensitivity, the voltage amplification factor of the lowpass filter and the gain of the mixer. Circuit devices are connected to the loop for varying at least one of the parameters in inverse proportion to the peak amplitude of the input signal carrier for causing the product of the parameters and the carrier peak amplitude to be substantially constant.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for coating the entire surface of lattice-like or mesh-like endoprostheses, wherein the endoprostheses initially are being provided with a thin layer covering the material surface of the endoprosthesis and subsequently, the surface of the entire endoprosthesis is being coated, wherein said coating of the entire surface covers the struts as well as the interstices between the individual struts.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to stents made of a magnesium alloy degradable under physiological conditions and an outer polymeric coating. Herein, the stents according to the invention can be additionally coated with at least one anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, antiangiogenic, antirestenotic and/or antithrombogenic active agent.
Abstract:
The invention relates to stents with at least one hemocompatible coating which contains an antiproliferative, antiinflammatory and/or antithrombotic active agent, methods for the preparation of said stents as well as the use of said stents for the prevention of restenosis.
Abstract:
A business object model, which reflects data that is used during a given business transaction, is utilized to generate interfaces. This business object model facilitates commercial transactions by providing consistent interfaces that are suitable for use across industries, across businesses, and across different departments within a business during a business transaction. In some operations, software creates, updates, or otherwise processes information related to a financial accounting view of cost object expense list and a financials view of contract business object.
Abstract:
A method for coating catheter balloons with a defined amount of a pharmacologically active agent, uses a coating device having a volume measuring device for releasing a measurable amount of a coating solution by means of a dispensing device specifically onto the surface of the catheter balloon.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to balloon catheters with or without crimped stent, whose surface is coated with at least one antirestenotic agent and at least one transport promoting molecular dispersant, as well as a method for the preparation of these medical devices.
