    摘要: A swash plate type compressor which includes a pair of cylinder blocks. The cylinder blocks contains a crank case and a plurality of cylinders leading to a suction port. A pair of housing sections cover the cylinder blocks, and contain a suction chamber leading to each about the center of the cylinders, and a discharge chamber which is fluidly connected to the cylinders. The cylinder blocks rotatably support a drive shaft. The suction chamber contains a shaft sealing device in order to seal a forward section of the drive shaft. A refrigerant fluid within the crank case is sucked into the cylinders via the suction chamber. A refrigerant passage is provided along the central axis of the drive shaft. A plurality of inlet and outlet ports are connected to the refrigerant passage and to the crank case and suction chamber. The refrigerant passage, the outlet ports and the inlet ports form a refrigerant suction passage. Consequently, the refrigerant concentration in the suction chamber is rendered uniform, and the reliability of the shaft sealing device is improved.

Each of the cutoff slots of the suction valve sheet has a part thereof adjacent to the free end of each suction valve which is radially widened to retain a predetermined amount of the compressed gas by which the suction valves are smoothly separated from the valve plate toward the open position thereof and rest on the walls of radial recesses formed in the end of the cylinder block during the suction stroke of the compressor.

    摘要: A compressor has an odd number of aligned pairs of cylinder bores. A double-headed piston is accommodated in each aligned pair of bores. The time at which gas is discharged from each cylinder bore is different from that of all of the other cylinder bores. The compressor has a pair of reducing devices, one reducing the pulsation amplitude of the gas discharged from the front cylinder bores and the other reducing the pulsation amplitude of the gas discharged from the rear cylinder bores. The reducing devices reduce the gas pulsation amplitudes of the front and rear cylinder bores at a substantially equal rate. Each reducing device includes a discharge chamber for receiving the gas discharged from the associated cylinder bores and a discharge passage connected to the discharge chamber. The discharge chambers of the reducing devices have equal volumes, and the discharge passages of the reducing devices have equal lengths and equal cross-sectional areas. This structure improves the vibration characteristics of the compressor and thus reduces noise.
