Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a wireless communication system for managing a network slice congestion. The wireless communication system includes a User Equipment (UE), operably coupled to a core network. The UE is configured to transmit a first NAS signaling message to the core network, wherein the first NAS signaling message comprises a specific network slide identity. The core network i configured to detect the network slice congestion in the wireless communication system. Further, the core network is configured to indicate the network slice congestion using a second NAS signaling message to the User Equipment (UE), wherein the second NAS signaling message comprising a reject cause value and a back off timer for the requested network slice identity.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology. A method of handling control plane data in a wireless network. The method comprises sending, by a user entity (UE), a non-access stratum (NAS) message along with an indication data to a mobility management (MM) core network entity. The MM core network entity processes the received NAS message and the indication data. The MM core network entity determines status of network congestion upon processing the processed NAS message. Sending, by the MM core network entity, a response to the UE based on at least one of the processed indication data and the determined network congestion.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein provide a method for handling timer expiry during an ongoing non-access stratum (NAS) procedure in a wireless network by a UE. The method includes detecting that a last running first timer is stopped or expired. Further, the method includes performing a deregistration procedure by sending a deregistration request message to a network entity in the wireless network when the last running first timer is stopped or expired. Further, the method includes starting a second timer. Further, the method includes determining that the deregistration procedure is not successful in first attempt. Further, the method includes aborting the ongoing deregistration procedure upon determining that the deregistration procedure is not successful in the first attempt. The method can be used to ensure that the UE registers over higher priority PLMN without any delay and extra signalling.

The UE includes a transceiver, memory storing one or more computer programs, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the transceiver and the memory, wherein the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the UE to identify an application running on the UE and a corresponding packet data unit (PDU) session mapping for the application data route, defer a re-evaluation of UE route selection policy (URSP), until at least one condition has been met, based on an application type, and trigger the re-evaluation and applying highest priority URSP rules for traffic for the identified application during an ongoing service session based on the application type.

Abstract: Embodiments herein achieve a method for handling registration and session management in a wireless communication system. The method includes registering, by a User Equipment (UE), with a first core network entity over a 3GPP access network and a non-3GPP access network. Further, the method includes triggering, by the UE, a registration procedure to a second core network over the 3GPP access network when a periodic timer of the UE expires in an OOS state. Further, the method includes receiving, by the UE, a non-access stratum (NAS) message, over the 3GPP access network, with an indication to register for the non-3GPP access network with the second core network entity. Further, the method includes reinitiating the registration procedure to register again for the non-3GPP access with the second core network entity through the non-3GPP access network.

Further, the method includes performing a deregistration procedure upon determining that the current SNPN does not support the emergency service for the dialed number. Further, the method includes selecting at least one of a cell and a public land mobile network (PLMN) that provides the emergency service to the UE after performing the deregistration procedure.
