    Abstract: A semiconductor device having an eye-friendly display function is provided. When a display portion displays text, a difference between a gray level of the text and a gray level of a background of the text is reduced depending on a scrolling speed of a screen of the display portion. In other words, during fast scrolling, text visibility is lowered by bringing the gray level of the text closer to the gray level of the background. This can prevent a user from following the text with eyes at the time of fast scrolling, thereby eliminating unnecessary movement of eye muscles and reducing stimuli to the optic nerve. In this manner, eye strain can be reduced.

    Abstract: A power storage device that is less likely to be influenced by an ambient temperature is provided. The power storage device capable of being charged and discharged even in a low-temperature environment is provided. The power storage device having such a structure can use, as an internal heat source in a low-temperature environment, heat generated by charge and discharge of the secondary battery capable of being charged and discharged even at low temperatures.     Abstract: A positive electrode active material that is unlikely to generate defects even when charging and discharging at a high voltage and/or at a high temperature is provided. A positive electrode active material in which crystal structures are unlikely to collapse even when charging and discharging are repeated is also provided. The positive electrode active material contains lithium, cobalt, oxygen, and an additive element. The positive electrode active material includes a surface portion, an inner portion. The positive electrode active material contains the additive element in the surface portion. The surface portion is a region extending from a surface of the positive electrode active material to a depth of 10 nm or less toward the inner portion, and the surface portion and the inner portion are topotaxy. A degree of diffusion of the additive element vary between crystal planes of the surface portion, and the additive element is at least one or two or more selected from nickel, aluminum, and magnesium.

    Abstract: As for a secondary battery using lithium cobalt oxide as a positive electrode active material, the positive electrode active material with which a decrease in battery capacity due to repeated charge and discharge is inhibited is provided. Alternatively, a positive electrode active material particle which hardly deteriorates is provided. The positive electrode active material includes lithium, cobalt, oxygen, magnesium, aluminum, and fluorine and is a crystal represented by a layered rock-salt structure. The space group of the crystal is represented by R−3m. The concentration of fluorine in a surface portion of the crystal is higher than that inside the crystal. The concentration of magnesium in the surface portion of the crystal is higher than that inside the crystal. The atomic ratio of magnesium to aluminum in the surface portion of the crystal is higher than that inside the crystal.
