    摘要: A lockup piston is provided with a damper. This lockup piston is useful in a torque converter having a lockup clutch. The lockup piston is composed of a disk-shaped core plate, which has an outer peripheral flange and a friction member fixedly secured on a side of the core plate, and of a retainer plate fixedly secured on an opposite side of the core plate and carrying a spring thereon. The disk-shaped core plate is provided thereon with convexities along opposite radial edges of the retainer plate, respectively.

    摘要: When a user touches a tablet with a pen, a coordinate pointed with a nib of a pen and a tool force on this coordinate are detected, and a cursor is displayed at a position corresponding to the coordinate in a display device. Furthermore, the shape, color and size, etc., of the cursor can be varied according to a change in coordinate, tool force. This permits the user to recognize a level of the tool force which he actually applies at a glance. Additionally, an operational mode is switched according to an amount of change in detected coordinate and the tool force. As a result, the user is permitted to control an operational mode of the document processing device with ease only by a pen operation, thereby improving an operability.

    摘要: A liquid coating method for coating a liquid onto inner cells of a honeycomb structure includes the steps of supplying a liquid to the inside of a honeycomb structure vertically arranged from its lower part to cause the liquid to adhere to the inner cells therein, and supplying pressurized air to an upper part of the honeycomb structure to discharge the liquid within the inner cells. A holding apparatus for holding an article includes an outer cylinder in a form of a pipe having an inner wall with an inner diameter which allows an article to be held to pass therethough easily and which has a sufficient strength, a resilient tube having an inner diameter which prevents the article to be held from passing therethough under no tension and having ends each sealingly connected to the outer cylinder, thus defining together with the inner wall of the outer cylinder sealed space therebetween, means for discharging a fluid from the sealed space; and means for supplying the fluid to the sealed space.

    摘要: A water-dispersed coating composition comprising (1) a dispersion of a water-dispersible form of an acrylic graft polymer containing carboxyl groups and hydroxyl and/or amide groups in an aqueous medium containing 60 to 90% by weight of water, and (2) an amino resin. The water-dispersible form of this polymer is obtained by neutralizing at least 50% of the carboxyl groups of the polymer with a basic substance. Prior to neutralization, the polymer has an acid value of 15 to 40 and a glass transition temperature of -10.degree. C. to 70.degree. C., and is produced by polymerizing (A) an acrylic copolymer and (B) a mixture of an alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and another copolymerizable unsaturated monomer. The copolymer (A) and the mixture (B) is selected so that either one of them has hydroxyl and/or amide groups and the difference between the acid value of the copolymer (A) and that of the mixture (B) is from 25 to 200. The present invention also provides a water-dispersed coating composition comprising a dispersion of a water-dispersible form of a self-curable acrylic graft polymer without an amino resin.
