An image forming apparatus includes an acquisition unit for acquiring information for identifying a user, a log-in unit for allowing the user to log in the image forming apparatus when the acquisition unit acquires the information for identifying the user, a log-off unit for causing the logged-in user to log off from the image forming apparatus after a first predetermined time period elapses, a determination unit for determining whether a secure printing job to be performed based on the acquired information for identifying the user is present in the image forming apparatus, and a control unit for controlling the log-off unit to cause the user to log off from the image forming apparatus within a second predetermined time period which is shorter than the first predetermined period time, when the determination unit determines that the secure printing job is present in the image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
An adhesive layer attaining, in a single layer, both adhesiveness permitting direct attachment to a glass plate disposed on the front face of a display device and desired optical filter functions and hardly undergoing the change in spectral characteristics attributable to deterioration in a light absorbing agent, even during long-time use, particularly at high temperature under high humidity, as well as a composite filter using this adhesive layer. The adhesive layer has optical filter functions, containing a block copolymer having at least a specific triblock structure in its molecule and having a weight-average molecular weight of 50,000 or more and a molecular-weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of less than 1.5 and one or more light absorbing agents each having light absorption in a predetermined wavelength region, as well as a composite filter using this adhesive layer.

A photosensitive composition and A photosensitive medium for volume hologram recording comprises a photopolymerization reactive compound (a monomer) and any one of the following binder: (a) an organic-inorganic hybrid polymer obtainable by copolymerizing an organometallic compound of the formula 1 “R1mM1(OR2)n” and an ethylenic monomer and/or its hydrolyzed polycondensate; (b) an organic-inorganic hybrid polymer obtainable by copolymerizing an organometallic compound of the formula 3 “R4mSi(OR5)n” and an ethylenic monomer and/or its hydrolyzed polycondensate; and (c) a binder resin bonded to a metal or a combination use of a binder resin containing a hydroxyl group and/or carboxyl group and a metal chelate compound.
Abstract:
There is provided an antireflection film that can prevent the occurrence of interference fringes and, at the same time, has antistatic properties and excellent coating film adhesion. The first antireflection film comprises a transparent base material film 1 and, provided on the transparent base material film in the following order, an antistatic hardcoat layer 2-1 comprising an antistatic agent selected from polymeric antistatic agents, crosslinking group-containing low-molecular antistatic agents, and electrically conductive antistatic agents and having hard properties, and a low-refractive index layer 3 having a lower refractive index than an underlying layer in direct contact with the low-refractive index layer. The occurrence of interference fringes can be prevented by bringing the absolute value of the difference in refractive index between the transparent base material film 1 and the antistatic hardcoat layer 2-1 to not more than 0.03.

The production process of the coloring material is characterized by comprising the steps of: providing a solution comprising (1) a soluble pigment precursor which is convertible into an insoluble pigment, (2) a solvent capable of dissolving the soluble pigment precursor therein, and (3) a stabilizing agent comprising an organic compound having a structure or a functional group capable of stabilizing the dispersibility of the insolubilized pigment in the solvent; and converting said soluble pigment precursor into an insoluble pigment to obtain the coloring material containing the insolubilized pigment dispersed stably in the solvent.
Abstract:
In a method for controlling an image forming apparatus capable of reading predetermined information, the image forming apparatus can operate in a first mode in which processing conditions set by a user through a user interface unit of the image forming apparatus can be used or a second mode in which processing conditions based on the predetermined information can be used. Accordingly, operability of the image forming apparatus capable of forming an image by using a document with an information tag can be enhanced.
