    摘要: A computer system is provided which models financial products such as demand deposits and time deposits. The computer system collects transactional data related to a plurality of financial products. The demand model includes an acquisition model, average balance model, and time demand renewable model for predicting customer responses to changes in interest rate based on the transactional data. The demand model evaluates consumer response through account opening, balance variations, and time deposit renewals. The demand model can also predict effects of cannibalization, seasonality, promotions, and time-dependent demand on the financial products. The cannibalization model estimates model parameters by demand group level, categorical level, and multicurrency level. The interest rate is optimized for each of the financial products by utilizing one or more of the acquisition, average balance, time demand renewable, cannibalization, seasonality, promotional, and time-dependent models. The optimized interest rate is exported to a financial institution.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are described for improving object trackability via parametric camera tuning. In one embodiment, a determination is made as to whether the camera settings loaded cause saturation of a video image and hue differences between objects and between the objects and a background of the video image. If the saturation and hue differences do not exceed the threshold, a search of camera settings is performed to increase saturation and hue differences between objects and between the objects and a background of the video image.

    摘要: Direct slicing of CAD models to generate process planning instructions for solid freeform fabrication may overcome inherent disadvantages of using STL format in terms of the process accuracy, ease of file management, and incorporation of multiple materials. This paper will present the results of our development of a direct slicing algorithm for layered freeform fabrication. The direct slicing algorithm was based on a neutral, international standard (ISO 10303) STEP-formatted NURBS geometric representation and is intended to be independent of any commercial CAD software. The following aspects of the development effort will be presented: 1) Determination of optimal build direction based upon STEP-based NURBS models; 2) Adaptive subdivision of NURBS data for geometric refinement; and 3) Ray-casting slice generation into sets of raster patterns. Feasibility studies applying the direct slicing algorithm to example models and the generation of fabrication planning instructions involving multi-material structures will also be presented.
