Disclosed herein are an inverter microwave oven and a method for controlling the same, wherein a switching frequency of an inverter is raised during the initial operation of the microwave oven and then lowered during the normal operation of the oven after the lapse of a predetermined time, so as to prevent overvoltage from being applied to a magnetron, which generates electromagnetic waves, during the initial operation, thereby enhancing durability and operational reliability of the inverter. The inverter microwave oven comprises a rectifier for rectifying and smoothing a commercial AC voltage into a DC voltage. The inverter is adapted to perform a switching operation based on the DC voltage from the rectifier to generate a magnetron drive AC voltage. The microwave oven further comprises a magnetron driver for converting the AC voltage from the inverter into a high-power DC voltage and applying the converted DC voltage to the magnetron, and an inverter control unit for varying the switching frequency of the inverter to prevent overvoltage from being applied to the magnetron.

Disclosed is a heat treatment system for semiconductor devices. The heat treatment system is used in a heat treatment process for semiconductor devices, such as a crystallization process for an amorphous silicon thin film or a dopant activation process for a poly-crystalline silicon thin film formed on a surface of a glass substrate of a flat display panel including a liquid crystal display (LCD) or an organic light emitting device (OLED). The heat treatment system transfers a semiconductor device after uniformly preheating the semiconductor device in order to prevent deformation of the semiconductor device during the heat treatment process, rapidly performs the heat treatment process under the high temperature condition by heating the semiconductor device using a lamp heater and induction heat derived from induced electromotive force, and unloads the semiconductor device after uniformly cooling the semiconductor device such that the semiconductor device is prevented from being deformed when the heat treatment process has been finished. The heat treatment system rapidly performs the heat treatment process while preventing deformation of the semiconductor device by gradually heating or cooling the semiconductor device.

A shift register circuit comprising a plurality of stages dependently connected to an initial input signal or an output signal of a previous stage and connected to first and second clock signals which are mutually inverted. Each stage includes eight switching devices interconnected together with three capacitors and interfaced through eleven interface points. Some of the interface points are connected to the first and second clock signals according to whether the stage is an even numbered stage or an odd numbered stage. Other ones of the interface points are connectable to the first and second clock signals in alternative ways to reduce power consumption without changing an internal configuration of the stage.
