Abstract:
In order to help music players without sufficient musical knowledge to adapt original music pieces but still keep the original style, the present invention provides an interactive system and the accompanying method for creating music by substituting audio tracks. The interactive system includes a database of musical elements that comprises tonality, tempo, beat, timbre, texture, chord, and pitch, a database of music that contains multiple original music pieces, and a processor. As a result, players without strong knowledge in music theories can create adapted a music piece that matches the style of the original one.
Abstract:
Method, device, and non-transitory computer-readable medium detecting a gathering of objects based on stereo vision are disclosed, and the method comprises steps of obtaining current and prior images and a corresponding depth map; extracting foreground pixels corresponding to detection objects from the current and prior images, and projecting the foreground pixels onto a ground surface to acquire a foreground projection image including foreground projection blocks; conducting, based on image feature differences of the foreground pixels between the current and prior images, projection onto the ground surface to acquire moving foreground projection blocks; utilizing the moving foreground projection blocks to erode the foreground projection blocks to obtain still foreground projection blocks; and determining, based on the still foreground projection blocks, whether the gathering of objects exists.
Abstract:
A method and a system for updating a background model based on depth are disclosed. The method includes receiving, in response to the occurrence of a predetermined background updating condition, one or more depth images captured after a time when the predetermined background updating condition occurs; obtaining, based on an original background model, foreground images in the one or more captured depth images, which are newly added compared with a depth image at the time when the predetermined background updating condition occurs; for each of foreground pixels in each of the newly added foreground images, comparing a current depth value with a previous depth value before the time when the predetermined background updating condition occurs; and updating, when the current depth value is greater than the previous depth value, the original background model as the updated background model by using the foreground pixel in the newly added foreground image.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a shadow detection method and device. The method includes a step of obtaining a depth/disparity map and color/grayscale image from a two-lens camera or stereo camera; a step of detecting and acquiring plural foreground points; a step of projecting the acquired plural foreground points into a 3-dimensional coordinate system; a step of carrying out, in the 3-dimensional coordinate system, a clustering process with respect to the projected plural foreground points so as to divide the projected plural foreground points into one or more point clouds; a step of calculating density distribution of each of the one or more point clouds by adopting a principal component analysis algorithm so as to obtain one or more principal component values of the corresponding point cloud; and a step of determining, based on the one or more principal component values, whether the corresponding point cloud is a shadow.
Abstract:
The inventive system includes a host, a network including a security gateway, and a public application. Established are an access session between the network and the host and an application session between the public application and the network. An application session record is created for the application session, and includes the user's public user identity used to access the public application, the user's private user identity used to access the network, a host identity, and an application session time, To determine the private user identity for the application session, the security gateway sends a query with the host identity and the application session time. These are compared with the host identity and access session time in an access session record, if they match, then the private user identity in the access session record is returned, and it is stored as the private user identity in the application session record.
Abstract:
A touch control arrangement is arranged for a container having a foldable cover being folded between an opened position and a closed position via an actuation unit. The touch control arrangement includes a power source and a touch actuator electrically linked to the power source, wherein the touch actuator is located out of the storage cavity of the container body and is arranged in such a manner that when the touch actuator is activated by a presence of a touch, the actuation unit is actuated to move the foldable cover from the closed position to the opened position.
Abstract:
A solvent spun bamboo fiber with a high wet modulus and a producing method thereof are disclosed. The producing method includes: activating by adding a bamboo pulp into de-ionized water, adjusting the pH value, adding cellulase and adjusting the pH value by adding alkali; squeezing by vacuum dehydration; pre-dissolving by adding an aqueous solution containing 50-88% by mass of N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide; then dissolving by putting the above pre-dissolved mixture into a dissolver, heating, vacuumizing, dehydrating, dissolving, homogenizing and defoaming; spinning by spraying through a spinneret and forming a bamboo fiber by dry-wet spinning; water washing; bleaching; oiling; and drying. The present method is simple to operate, free of industrial pollution, low energy consuming, and highly safe. The bamboo fiber produced by the present method not only keeps the natural physical and chemical properties of bamboo fiber, but also has a high wet modulus without harmful chemical residues.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with selective notch filtering for howling suppression are described. According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes a howling detector that detects howling by performing a time domain analysis of speech signals to identify a speech signal that may be exhibiting howling and performing frequency domain analysis to confirm that the speech signal is exhibiting howling. The apparatus also includes a suppression selector configured to select a suppression technique, a signal processor configured to process the speech signal according to a selected suppression technique. The apparatus outputs, without suppression-related processing, speech signals that are not identified based on the time domain analysis. In another embodiment a method includes analyzing a speech signal to detect howling and when howling is detected, selecting, based on the howling analysis, a howling suppression technique from a set of howling suppression techniques that includes at least two different howling suppression techniques.
Abstract:
Provided are methods for transmitting two or more data streams through the same cable. The cable includes at least two sets of conductive points, each set capable of independently transmitting a separate data stream. The cable may be USB 2.0 type cable. Pins 2 and 3 may be assigned for transmitting one data stream, while pins 4 and 5 may be assigned for transmitting another data stream. For example, one data stream may be audio-video signal transmitted to an audio-video receiver.
