摘要: Crossbar switches having 2.sup.n +1 ports and computing clusters are arranged so that each crossbar switch is connected to 2.sup.n processors. Auxiliary processors that perform parallel processing administrative functions and input/output functions are arranged at the remainder ports of the crossbar switches. Exchangers are provided to connect each processor and its crossbar switches. Parallel processing may be executed by the 2.sup.n processors independently of processing by the auxiliary processors for speed. One mounting unit is formed of a crossbar switch of one dimension, the processor group connected to that crossbar switch, and all of the crossbar switches of a different dimension that are connected to one of the processors of the one processor group. The parallel processor system is mounted by just combining mounting units with no need for special LSIs or frames or the like on which to mount the crossbar switches and without the interfaces that connect the processor and the network becoming concentrated in one place.

摘要: A vehicle polishing method includes a first polishing step of moving a portal or gate-type travel frame travellable forwardly and backwardly in one of opposite travelling direction over a stationary vehicle to polish the body surface of the vehicle by rotary brush means mounted on the travel frame during such movement while applying a foamy primary treating agent containing an anionic surfactant onto the body surface by a primary treating agent applicator mounted on the travel frame, and a second polishing and rinsing step of moving the travel frame in the other travelling direction and polishing the body surface by the rotary brush means while applying an aqueous wax containing a cationic surfactant onto the body surface by an aqueous wax applicator, and ejecting fresh water onto the body surface by a rinsing unit mounted on the travel frame to wash away the excessive wax from the body surface. After termination of the first polishing step and before starting of the second polishing and rinsing step, the cationic surfactant-containing aqueous wax is applied to the rotary brush means for a predetermined period of time. The apparatus for carrying out such polishing method specifically includes an aqueous wax applicator which has nozzle means adapted to directly eject an aqueous way toward the rotary brush means.

摘要: A semiconductor memory device includes a memory array having a data area and a check code area and a refresh control for controlling a refresh operation in a data holding state. The device also includes an operation system for executing an encoding operation for generating the check code using a bit string in the data area and a decoding operation for performing the error detection/correction of the data using the check code. Additionally, the device includes an encode controller for controlling an encode process in which, in a change to the data holding state, a first and second code are written in the check code area. Furthermore, the device includes a decode controller for controlling a decode process in which, at the end of the data holding state, first and second bit error correction based on each code are alternately performed, and the first and the second bit error correction are performed at least twice respectively.

摘要: A parallel computer system includes a plurality of processor units, a data transfer network for interconnecting the processor units, a synchronizing network for allowing program execution to be performed synchronously by the individual processor units, a connecting unit for connecting the individual processor units and the synchronizing network, and an input unit connected to the synchronizing network. The connecting unit connects selectively the individual processor units to the synchronizing network in accordance with information inputted via the input unit. With the parallel computer system, a program can be executed synchronously in parallel by using a desired number of processor units of those incorporated in the system, whereby availability of processor resources of the system can be enhanced.

摘要: Parallel processors communicate with each other over a network by transmitting messages that include destination processor information. A message controller for each processor in the network receives the messages and checks for faults in the message, particularly in the destination processor number contained in a first word of the message. If a fault occurs in the destination processor number, then the faulty message is transmitted to an appropriate processor for handling the fault. In this way the network operation is not suspended because of the fault and the message is not left in the network as a result of the error occurring in the destination processor number. The processor to which the faulty message is directed is determined by a substitute destination processor number contained in the message or is predetermined and set in another way, such as by a service processor. To recover from the fault, the processor receiving the faulty message can request that the message be retransmitted or the error can be corrected using an ECC, for example. If the faulty message cannot be retransmitted, then the processor or the host processor can request that the job to which the faulty message pertains be canceled by all of the processors executing that job without affecting the simultaneous execution of other jobs by the same processors.

摘要: In a method for removing an aged wax and fur on a vehicle by a washing machine including a gate-type frame which is reciprocally travellable astride the vehicle in longitudinal direction of the latter and which is provided with a rotary brush arrangement, a dryer, a clear water sprayer, a neutralizer-containing rinse water sprayer and an aged-wax/fur removing material spreader, the vehicle is brushed by the rotary brush arrangement during a first advancing movement of the gate-type frame, and an aged-wax/fur removing material is spreaded onto the vehicle by the aged-wax/fur removing material spreader, while at the same time brushing the vehicle by said rotary brush arrangement during a first returning movement and second advancing movement of the gate-type frame. Then, the vehicle is brushed by the rotary brush arrangement during a second returning movement of the gate-type frame, and then the gate-type frame is put out of operation for a given period of time to perform a readjustment of the brushing for such cessation period. During a subsequent third advancing movement of the gate-type frame, a neutralizer-containing rinse water is sprayed onto the vehicle by the neutralizer-containing rinse water sprayer, while brushing the vehicle by the rotary brush arrangement, and clear water is then sprayed onto the vehicle by the clear water sprayer. Further, during a third returning movement of the gate-type frame, clear water is sprayed onto the vehicle by the clear water sprayer and then, the vehicle is dried by said dryer.
