摘要: Optical waveform observing apparatus including a sampling streak tube to which is applied an incident light beam having a waveform to be observed. An electron beam corresponding to the incident light beam is repetitively deflected in the streak tube, in response to a repetitive deflecting trigger signal, to sample the electron beam. The repetitive deflection of the electron beam is periodically stopped for a first time period. An integration circuit integrates data outputted by the streak tube. A subtraction circuit subtracts the integration of streak tube data outputted during the first time period from the integration of streak tube data outputted during a second time period when the repetitive beam deflection is not stopped, so that background noise and dark currents are not included in the subtraction result.

摘要: There is provided a voltage detecting device using an electro-optical material which has its refractive index changed by a voltage provided on an object under test. The voltage detecting device consists of a strip line formed on the upper surface of the electro-optical material and an electrode formed on the bottom surface of the electro-optical material. One or both of the strip line and electrode may be formed of transparent conductive materials. In operation, a light beam is passed either from the top or the bottom of the device through the electro-optical material and the change in the polarization of the light is measured. That change is related to the voltage level of the voltage signal passing through the strip line formed on the material.

摘要: Cancer diagnosis device contains an endoscope comprising a light pipe used to transmit light beams from respective light sources and an image guide used to observe the flesh of the organism during both diagnosis and treatment. The tip of the endoscope faces toward the focuses where a photosensitive material having an affinity to the focuses of cancer has been absorbed so that a treatment for cancer can be performed by exposing the organism affected by cancer to the laser beam. The attainable the laser beam within a focus is thus increased by the use of the laser beam pulse from a first laser beam pulse source. In addition to the above, the cancer diagnosis device contains a second laser beam pulse source used to transmit a light beam to the focuses through the light pipe for making a diagnosis, a selector used to selectively pick up the light beam from the first laser beam pulse source or the second laser beam pulse source, a spectroscope used to obtain the spectral response from emission of light led through the image guide used for observation from the flesh of the organism where fluorescence occurs, an imaging device used to pick up the spectral response, a graphic display used to graphically display the processed spectra picked up by the imaging device, and a controller used to control emission of light from the second laser beam pulse source and also to make the operation of the imaging device synchronize with the second laser beam pulse source.
