摘要: A vehicle is described herein having a rear drive mounted to a sub-frame where the sub-frame is movable relative to the frame, and where a suspension is movable relative to the sub-frame. Thus the vertical travel of the wheels is a combination of the vertical travel of the wheels relative to the sub-frame and the vertical travel of the sub-frame relative to the frame. The sub-frame could in the front or the rear, or both.

摘要: A dual suspension system includes a chassis, a suspension arm rotatably connected to the chassis, a wheel connection connected coupled to the suspension arm, a first lock connected to the chassis and the suspension arm, and a second lock connected between a differential housing and the chassis. The first and second locks each have an unlocked state and a locked state. When the first lock is unlocked, and the second lock is locked, the vehicle substantially provides independent suspension. When the first lock is locked, and the second lock is unlocked, the vehicle substantially provides solid axle suspension.

摘要: A vehicle includes a fuel tank disposed adjacent to a propeller shaft in a widthwise direction of the vehicle, and a differential unit coupled to a rear end of the propeller shaft. The differential unit includes a differential gear coupled to the rear end of the propeller shaft, a housing positioned rearward of the fuel tank to accommodate the differential gear, a bracket member fixed to the rear sub-frame, a plurality of bolts that fasten the housing and a first bracket together, and a stay member provided separate from the bolts to couple the housing and the first bracket together.

摘要: A front-axle bracket for motor vehicles has two accommodations spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal vehicle direction in each instance for the bearing locations for pivoting mounting of one of two wheel guide elements, in each instance, such as transverse control arms or A-arms, accommodations for attachment of the front-axle bracket as a pre-finished unit, together with pre-assembled assemblies, on the vehicle body, and at least individual ones of accommodations for attachment of the steering gear mechanism, for attachment of the stabilizer, and for mounting of a pendulum support. The front-axle bracket is produced as a component that is in one piece with these accommodations and connects them with one another.

摘要: An axle assembly of a vehicle includes a side plate, a wheel end assembly, and a lower control arm. The side plate is part of a support structure of the vehicle, and the lower control arm extends between the side plate and the wheel end assembly. A spring member and a damper are each connected between the lower control arm and the side plate. The axle assembly further includes a shield fixed to the lower control arm, where the shield is designed to at least partially protect the vehicle from an explosive blast originating below the vehicle.

摘要: An axle assembly for an undercarriage of a vehicle includes two side plates, a differential, and a skid plate. The two side plates have surfaces configured to support a vehicle hull. The differential is generally positioned between the two side plates. During operation of the axle assembly, the differential receives torque from a driveshaft and provides the torque to half shafts. The skid plate includes an array of beams extending between the side plates and below the differential. The skid plate is designed to shield the differential and portions of the undercarriage of the vehicle from ground obstacles.

摘要: An independent suspension includes upper and lower control arms that are coupled to a knuckle that supports a wheel assembly. A spring bracket is pivotally connected to the lower control arm. A drive shaft extends through an opening in the spring bracket to drive the wheel assembly. The spring bracket includes first and second support plates that respectively support first and second springs on opposite sides of the drive shaft. A torque rod is pivotally connected to the spring bracket. The torque rod and the upper and lower control arms are also mounted to a vehicle frame member. The torque rod, knuckle, spring bracket, upper and lower control arms, and vehicle structure cooperate to provide a six link control that accommodates large wheel jounce travel.

摘要: A wheel supporting apparatus includes dampers, ball joints, a knuckle, an upper arm and a lower arm. The dampers are attached to a case of an in-wheel motor in the top-bottom direction of the vehicle's body and are connected respectively to the ball joints. The upper arm and the lower arm have respective one-ends connected to respective dampers via the ball joints and respective other ends pivotably fixed to the vehicle's body. The knuckle is connected to the ball joints to rotatably support a wheel hub via hub bearings.
