A process for the production of polyolefin hollow articles comprises charging the polyolefin with a stabilizer combination comprising (a) at least one compound from the group of the organic phosphites or phosphonites, (b) one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of i.) hydroxylamine derivatives and ii.) amine oxide derivatives and (c) at least one compound from the group of the hindered amine stabilizers, filling this mixture into a mold, heating this mold in an oven to above 280° C., such that the stabilized polyolefin fuses, rotating the mold around at least 2 axes, the plastic spreading to the walls, and cooling the mold while still rotating, opening it and taking the resultant hollow article out.

The composition contains A) at least one member having weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 25,000 to 35,000 g/mol, selected from the group consisting of aromatic polycarbonate and polyestercarbonate B) ABS graft polymer produced by the mass polymerization process and characterized in (i) having a butadiene content of 8 to 15% in relation to the weight of the graft polymer, (ii) having an acrylic acid derivative content of 15 to 30% in relation to the total weight of the acrylic derivative and styrene monomer, and (iii) containing styrene monomer-acrylic acid derivative copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 5null104 to 14null104 g/mol. The composition may further contain one or more of halogen-free phosphorus compounds, fluorinated polyolefin, a polymer containing acrylate monomer and an inorganic material in particulate form.

This invention relates to novel flame retardants (FR) resulting from the reaction of (a) or (b) with (c) where (a) is a compound containing at least one amine group and with at least one sixteenth of the amine molecules having at least one methylol bond, (b) is a phenol with at least one sixteenth of the phenol molecules having at least one methylol bond, and (c) is a mineral acid, organic acid, and organo-phosphorous acid, or a mixture thereof and optionally adding a polyhydric compound and/or optionally adding formaldehyde to the acid. These compositions are for use in general flame retardant applications such as coatings, adhesives, and articles made of polymeric materials. The FR mechanism by which these compounds generally perform as an FR agent is intumescence but the field of this invention is not restricted to that mechanism. Some of the compounds have substantial intumescence and others have very little intumescence but still are flame retardants.

The present invention relates to anti-electrostatic polycarbonate compositions which are provided with chlorine- and bromine-free flame resistance and are distinguished by good mechanical and thermal properties and problem-free processability in the injection moulding process, i.e. by a good melt flowability and a low tendency towards juicing. The present invention also relates to the use of the polycarbonate moulding compositions according to the invention for the production of shaped articles and mouldings of all types, and the shaped articles and mouldings themselves.
