    摘要: A high-pressure pump includes a pump body, a cylinder, a plunger, and a plug. The pump body has a fuel chamber therein into which fuel is supplied. The cylinder is disposed inside the pump body and having one end immediately adjacent to the fuel chamber. The cylinder has an inner threaded portion formed on an inner wall of the cylinder at the one end. The plunger is disposed inside the cylinder and is reciprocally movable in an axial direction to change a volume of a pressurizing chamber within which the fuel supplied from the fuel chamber is pressurized. The plug is screwed into the inner threaded portion of the cylinder from the fuel chamber in the axial direction and closing the one end of the cylinder. The plug has an end surface that faces an end surface of the plunger and defines the pressurizing chamber together with the end surface of the plunger. The end surface of the plug is parallel to the end surface of the plunger.

    摘要: A fuel injection device of a direct injection engine is provided. The device includes an engine body, a fuel injection valve, and a controller for controlling a fuel injection by the fuel injection valve. The fuel injection valve has a nozzle hole, a valve body for opening and closing the nozzle hole, and first and solenoid coils for stroking the valve body by first and second stroke amounts, respectively. The controller performs the fuel injection by the first solenoid coil in an intake stroke period within an engine operating range with an engine load below a predetermined load. The controller performs the fuel injection with a fuel pressure of 40 MPa or above by the second solenoid coil in a period between a compression stroke late stage and an expansion stroke early stage within a low-engine-speed range with an engine speed below a predetermined speed and within a high-engine-load range.

The front end of an outlet joint reaches the cylinder, and a fuel discharge route directly connects to the outlet joint from the cylinder without passing through the pump housing.

    摘要: A method for reducing “blow-out” of annular welds for attaching press-fit components in a fuel injector assembly is disclosed. The method employs a multi-step welding procedure whereby a first annular weld bead that corresponds to less than 360° of rotation of the assembly about a longitudinal axis leaves a radial void that is thereafter sealed with a second annular weld bead. In an alternative embodiment, a relief region is formed on radially-facing surfaces of the components, the relief region being disposed adjacent to a press-fit region. A sealed gap is thereby formed in the relief region between the welds and the press-fit region. The sealed gap provides a further means for expansion of trapped gases that could otherwise “blow out” the liquid weld bead.
