    摘要: The present invention is a variable displacement pump system for delivering precisely controlled oil flow and pressure, including a variable displacement pump having an inlet passage, an outlet passage, a first chamber and a second chamber for controlling the displacement of the variable displacement pump. The present invention also includes a fluid control device for receiving fluid from the outlet passage, and selectively delivering fluid to the second chamber. Fluid is delivered from the inlet passage to the outlet passage from the variable displacement pump, and fluid is also delivered from the outlet passage to the first chamber and the fluid control device. When fluid pressure is greater in the first chamber relative to the second chamber, the displacement of the variable displacement pump will decrease, and when fluid pressure is greater in the second chamber relative to the first chamber, the displacement of the variable displacement pump will increase.

    摘要: A method and system for detecting and correcting unintended reverse or backward operation of an electric motor driven scroll compressor of a refrigeration system is characterized by monitoring the pressure at a suction side of the compressor during operation of the refrigeration and determining whether the pressure, after a first time interval following startup of the compressor, exceeds and remains in excess of a predetermined upper pressure limit for at least a second time interval. If it does, the compressor is turned off for a third time interval and is then restarted. The foregoing is repeated and if the compressor is turned off a selected number of times because of successive occurrences of high suction side pressures during operation of the refrigeration system in a chilling cycle, an error indication is generated and the refrigeration system is shut down.

A progressive cavity pump positioned at the bottom end of the body, the pump having a rotor mounted within a stator. A drive is coupled to and adapted to rotate the rotor in order to draw sand into the interior cavity. A first fluid passage is provided along which fluids from pumped from surface pass to fluidize solids within the interior cavity. A second fluid passage is provided along which fluidized solids from within the interior cavity pass to surface.

A capacity control unit controls an operation of the rotary compressor, so that the rotary compressor performs one of a normal-mode operation wherein the first refrigerant inlet port is maintained at an open state thereof, and the variable capacity-mode operation wherein the first refrigerant inlet port is periodically opened and closed.

A regulating valve receives a portion of the output of the pump as a bypass flow at a first pressure, wherein an output of the regulating valve is at an interim pressure. The interim pressure is substantially equal to an average of the first pressure and a low reference pressure. An actuator sets a displacement of the pump by acting on a piston connected to a cam ring of the pump. The actuator receives the interim pressure and, thereby, the output of the variable displacement pump is determined.
