    摘要: A series fan assembly structure includes a first fan frame and a second fan frame. The first fan frame has a first latch section, a second latch section, a first engagement recess, a second engagement recess, a first retainer section and a second retainer section. The second fan frame has a third latch section, a fourth latch section, a third engagement recess, a fourth engagement recess, a third retainer section and a fourth retainer section. The first and second engagement recesses are respectively connected with the third and fourth latch sections, the first and second latch sections are respectively connected with the third and fourth engagement recesses and the first and second retainer sections are respectively connected with the third and fourth retainer sections. Accordingly, the first and second fan frames can be quickly assembled and securely connected in both axial direction and radial direction.

    摘要: An electronic device includes a fan field replaceable unit (FRU). The fan FRU includes a fan FRU chassis defining an airflow pathway through the fan FRU. A fan within the fan FRU chassis causes air to flow along the airflow pathway. The fan FRU further includes an edge connector located at a front face of the fan FRU out of the way of the airflow pathway. Accordingly, the edge connector does not block airflow through the fan FRU thus maximizing the efficiency of the fan FRU and the cooling of the electronic device.

    摘要: The fan assembly having multiple centrifugal fans in mechanical connection with a planetary gear system is a novel improvement to the field of fans, and which includes at least two centrifugal fans that are in mechanical connection with a single drive source. A planetary gear system connects the centrifugal fans to the single drive source such that all centrifugal fans work in concert. The assembly includes a housing that is constructed of a first portion positioned atop and able to rotate with respect to a second portion. The ability of the first portion to rotate with respect to the second portion enables the first portion where the centrifugal fans to rotate 360 degrees. The first portion includes partitions, which isolate each centrifugal fans from one another.

    摘要: System and methods are provided for reducing vibration in server or data storage units. An anti-vibration system according to the present invention includes one or more disk drives and one or more fans in a defined area, and a controller which is configured to control operation of each of the one or more fans. A nominal speed setting and a speed range are determined for the one or more fans, either commonly or independently with respect to each, and the fans are caused to be driven in accordance with the determined speed setting and speed range. As a result the occasions in which individual fan speeds are coincident with fixed frequency sensitivities for each disk drive are substantially minimized.

    摘要: A fan driving circuit drives a first fan and a second fan which are connected in parallel and connected to an anode of a direct current power. The fan driving circuit includes a pulse width modulation signal generation module, a phase lock and delay module, a first pulse output comparator and a first capacitor. The width modulation signal generation module is connected between an external power and the first fan. The phase lock and delayed module is electrically connected to the pulse width modulation signal generation module. The first capacitor is connected between the DC and the ground. The first fan is supplied as normal by a PWM power supply, the second fan is powered by “shadow” and out-of-phase pulses taken from an inductor in the first fan and stored in the capacitor, to achieve a “two-for-one” power supply aspect, which saves power and reduces operational noise.
