    摘要： Apparatus for remotely controlling the operation of various electronic devices comprises a remote-control unit having a read-only memory for storing a data table, a keyboard for generating a program to be executed at a predetermined future time, a random-access memory for storing the program, a central processing unit jointly interactive with the read-only memory and the random-access memory, and a transmitter controlled by the central processing unit for producing a remote-control signal based on the data table and the program. A receiver is responsive to the remote-control signal for controlling the devices in accordance therewith, and a simulator is provided for producing the remote-control signal before the predetermined future time, so that at least a portion of the program is pre-executed as a test of its validity.

Additionally, this invention incorporates a wireless interface, of any combination of sub-systems, to increase the coverage area to include remote locations, within a radius up to 10 miles, and/or large facilities which exceed the limitation of hard wired components, resulting in cost reductions for installation and maintenance. In facilities such as shopping malls, office buildings, commercial and industrial complexes, the consolidated central management of energy consumption, building equipment, lighting, environmental control, and vendor services provides a substantial savings and effective use of limited natural resources.

    摘要： A distributed control system has a plurality of distributed field devices, each of which contains a transducer and a wireless transceiver. The distributed control system includes a base station transceiver, a database and a virtual transmitter application in communication with the database. Each field device transmits and receives data via wireless signals between the communications boards and the base station. The data is stored in the database for later retrieval and evaluation by the virtual transmitter application. The deployed field device senses information and transmits the sensed information wirelessly to a base station. The sensed information is stored in memory on a computer system, and programmatically groomed to provide a measurement value, upon request by a user.

    摘要： An externally configurable soft starter system comprises a motor controller including solid state switches for controlling application of power to a motor. A control circuit controls operation of the solid state switches. The control circuit comprises a programmed processor for commanding operation of the solid state switches and a memory connected to the programmed processor storing parameters relating to operation of the solid state switches. An interface circuit is operatively connected to the programmed processor. An external device includes a memory for storing parameters relating to operation of the solid state switches and an interface for communication with the motor controller. A configuration program is operatively implemented in the programmed processor and the external configuration device for transferring a configuration database file between the controller memory and the external device memory. The configuration database file comprises a plurality of the stored parameters relating to operation of the solid state switches.
