Abstract:
An AV Clip formed by multiplexing a video stream and a graphics stream and recorded on a BD-ROM as a recording medium. The video stream constitutes a moving picture while the graphics stream enables graphics to be overlaid on the moving picture, and includes pieces of control information called a PCS and an ICS. When the AV Clip is played back immediately following playback of another digital stream, the control information indicates to the reproduction device that the presence of data already in memory of a graphics decoder is to be continuous.
Abstract:
Shooting is performed upon full depression of a shutter button, and a taken image is recorded in a memory card as an image file. An LCD displays the taken image and a print number thereof. The print number is adjusted by pressing addition and subtraction buttons. Upon pressing a decision button, number data of the print number is inputted. The number data is recorded in the memory card so as to relate to the image file. Incidentally, in case the shutter button is pressed by half without inputting the number data, the print number is set to one, and next shooting is allowed. The above operation is repeated until entire shooting is completed.
Abstract:
A reproducing apparatus provided with identifying information acquisition means to read recording medium identify information recorded on a recording medium and a storage unit to store the recording medium identify information acquired by the identifying information acquisition means so that the recording media which have been played are registered as library information. When a recording medium is to be played, this library information is used to determine whether to allow bonus images to be reproduced.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus which records position information of a place of shooting an image of an object and direction information of the object relative to the recording apparatus. A shooting unit takes images of an object. A receiver receives data for position measurement being transmitted from a satellite and a position information calculator calculates position information using the satellite data. A sensing unit senses a direction of a terrestrial magnetic field and a direction information calculator calculates direction information based on the sensed direction. A transmitting unit transmits the position and direction information to the recording unit which records the position and direction information on a recording medium together with image data corresponding to the taken images. The position and direction information may then be displayed together with the images when the images are reproduced.
Abstract:
There is provided an image capturing apparatus that automatically registers a taken object. The image capturing apparatus according to the present invention includes an object extracting section that extracts an object included in a captured image, a characteristic amount computing section that computes an amount of characteristic of the object based on the image with the object extracted from the object extracting section, a characteristic amount storing section that stores the amount of characteristic of the object computed from the characteristic amount computing section in association with object identification information identifying the object, a characteristic amount comparing section that compares an amount of characteristic of an object included in an image newly taken by an image capturing section and the amount of characteristic of the object stored on the characteristic amount storing section to compute a degree of coincidence of the objects, and an object identification information storing section that stores the object identification information stored on the characteristic amount storing section in association with the image newly taken by the image capturing section when it is judged that the degree of coincidence of the objects computed from the characteristic amount comparing section is not less than a predetermined reference value.
Abstract:
A recording control section controls recording, on an optical disc, of a video TS and an audio TS, each of which is composed of plural pieces of partial data, and a ClipInfo creating section creates a time-address conversion table for the video TS and a time-address conversion table for the audio TS. The ClipInfo creating section sets a value of a relative address field of the time-address conversion table for the audio TS to a value of the relative address of partial data having a minimum time stamp that is larger than a value of a time stamp field of the time-address conversion table for the corresponding video TS. Thus, it is possible to provide an information recording apparatus which, in the case of recording on a recording medium plural pieces of stream data which should be reproduced in sync with each other at least partially, can reduce the amount of memory used at the time of reproduction of the stream data.
Abstract:
A storage medium for storing text-based subtitle data including style information, a reproducing apparatus and methods are provided for reproducing text-based subtitle data including style information separately recorded on the storage medium. The storage medium includes: multimedia image data; and text-based subtitle data for displaying subtitles on an image based on the multimedia image data, wherein the text-based subtitle data includes dialog information indicating subtitle contents to be displayed on the image, style information indicating an output style of the dialog information, and partial style information indicating an output style applied to a portion of the dialog information. Accordingly, subtitles can be provided in a plurality of languages without limited to the number of units of subtitle data. In addition, subtitle data can be easily produced and edited. Likewise, an output style of the subtitle data can be changed in a variety of ways. Also, a special style can be applied in order to emphasize a portion of the subtitles.

Abstract:
An image processing apparatus facilitating an edit process and a check process of data. A UMID of material data is added to a composition table. A UMID of the composition table and the UMID of the material data are added to an edit list. The UMID of the material data and the UMID of the original edit list are added to an effect-added edit list. Each terminal references data of the other terminals by tracking these UMIDS. A metadata server produces and manages a reverse reference-related table of UMIDs in order. Each terminal references data using the table. The image processing apparatus is applicable to a network system.
