Abstract:
Provided are a digital image processing apparatus for determining a focused portion in an image and showing the focused portion to a user and a method of controlling the same. The digital image processing apparatus includes a digital signal processor (DSP) which extracts the intensity of edges from an image and displays the combination of the extracted intensity of edges on the image. A user may determine whether a region of interest is successfully focused or not without additionally operating the digital image processing apparatus.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a multisource illumination device in gated optical system is provided. A plurality of light sources is divided into groups, and wherein each group is characterized by a respective radial distance from a primary optical axis. Therein, the dimming level of a group is controlled independently from the dimming level of other groups based on the radial distance of the group from the primary optical axis.
Abstract:
The description relates to remote collaboration via a telepresence experience. One example can include an interactive digital display. The example can also include a virtual user presentation component configured to generate a graphical user interface that includes a virtual representation of a remote user on the interactive digital display. The graphical user interface can be configured to present the remote user in a side by side or mirror image relationship to a local user of the interactive digital display.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a light source apparatus including a solid-state light source, a phosphor on which light emitted from the solid-state light source is incident, an optical system that guides the light emitted from the solid-state light source at least to the phosphor, an enclosure member having a first accommodation space that accommodates the phosphor and a second accommodation space that accommodates the optical system, and an air blowing mechanism that blows air into the first accommodation space, wherein the optical system includes a pickup lens on which fluorescence emitted from the phosphor is incident, and the first accommodation space and the second accommodation space are separated from each other by a holding member that holds the pickup lens.
Abstract:
A computer method and system to allow reconciliation of documents that were originally part of a first mail production job, but that may have been produced as part of a different second mail production job. A database stores a first record that identifies documents in the first mail production job. The record includes one or more fields indicating a production status of the documents in the first mail production job. At some point in the production process, a document is separated from what was originally defined as the first mail production job, to be instead produced as part of a second mail production job. The database further stores a second record identifying documents in the second mail production job. These records are updated to include a pointer indicating the relationship between the document and the first mail production job and the second mail production job. During mail production the production status of a document is determined. The database records are updated to record the current status of the documents. Responsive to a query regarding the status of documents originally in the first job, the pointer is used to identify the status of the document in the second job.
Abstract:
A light-emitting device for use in an image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body; a door disposed on and openably closable relative to the apparatus body; a lens mounted on the door; a light-emitting element that lights up the lens with light; and a bracket disposed on the apparatus body, configured to support the light-emitting element. The bracket is slidable in a direction in which the light-emitting element emits light. In a state in which the door is closed relative to the apparatus body, the bracket contacts at least one of a part of the door and a part of the lens, further movement of the bracket in the slidable direction is obstructed, and the light-emitting element and the lens are positioned adjacent to each other.
Abstract:
A method and system for generating light pattern using reflective polygons are provided herein. The method may include: rotating at least one polygon having a plurality of reflective facets along a rotation axis parallel to the facets; transmitting a light beam on the facets of the polygon; tilting the light beam relative to the polygon in parallel to the rotation axis so that the light beam hits each of the facets at a different tilt angle, thereby producing a light pattern comprising a plurality of lines; and controlling at least one of: the light intensity, the rotating, and the tilting, so as to produce an adjustable light pattern transmitted at a scene.
Abstract:
An imaging device includes an imager, and a processor including hardware. The processor is configured to implement a phase difference detection process that calculates an average value of a pixel value of a first image and a pixel value of a second image that have been subjected to a normalization process, and calculates a correlation coefficient based on a value obtained by adding up the values obtained by subjecting the pixel value of the first image and the pixel value of the second image that have been subjected to a subtraction process within a fall interval in which the average value decreases, and a value obtained by adding up the values obtained by subjecting the pixel value of the first image and the pixel value of the second image that have been subjected to the subtraction process within a rise interval in which the average value increases.
Abstract:
A transmitter for generating a differential signal pair including a pre-emphasis component. In an embodiment, the transmitter comprises pre-driver circuitry including an input to receive a single-ended data signal. The differential transmitter further comprises a load circuit coupled between the input and a node coupled to an output of the pre-driver circuitry which corresponds to a constituent signal of the differential signal pair. In another embodiment, the load circuit is configurable to provide a signal path between the input and the node. A configuration of the load circuit allows for a type of pre-emphasis to be included in the constituent signal.
