摘要: Fabric material having a backing, such as carpet, is used as a biomass fuel component. The fabric material is shredded and substantially separated into constituent backing and fabric components. The backing component is stored in a first storage unit. The fabric component may be mixed with another biomass fuel component before introduction into a gasifier. The gasifier produces synthetic gas, which is subsequently used to produce steam. The hot ash generated as a by-product of gasification is stored in a second storage unit. Each waste product may be confined to a distinct waste path such that the waste products remain isolated from each other, at least until the ash cools down to approximately the melting point of the backing component.

摘要: The present invention is generally directed to a process for separating and recovering post-consumer polyester from various contaminant materials. The invention can be utilized to separate post-consumer polyester from various contaminants including glass, dirt, paper, metal, glue, dye, and the like. The disclosed process includes several stages including a preparation stage, in which a portion of the contaminants can be removed from the polyester, as well as a reaction stage, in which a portion of the polyester can be saponified and contaminants can be physically separated from the polyester. In addition, during the reaction stage, certain hard-to-separate contaminants, such as aluminum and polyvinyl chloride, can react to a form more easily separable from the polyester.

摘要: A method for separating polyester materials from contaminants is disclosed suitable for, for example, a polyester recycling system. The method is a dry separation method and includes rapidly spinning a mixture of polyester and contaminants within a cleaning chamber. During the spinning of the mixture, the contaminants can be degraded and pass through a screen at the chamber wall while the polyester materials are not substantially degraded and can remain in the cleaning chamber. Polyester fines can also remain in the cleaning chamber. A cleaning device suitable for use in the process is also disclosed. The device can include a screen of a hardened material that can help degrade the contaminants and a plurality of rotating blades that can spin the mixture within the device and can also help to degrade the contaminant materials.

摘要: Modified scrap rubber particles, a method for forming the modified rubber particles and compositions including the modified rubber particles. The rubber particles are impregnated with at least one polymerizable monomer and polymerized to impregnate the rubber particles with a polymer. The impregnated polymer provides the modified rubber particles with improved properties which increase the potential uses for recycled scrap rubber. The modified rubber particles are useful in surface coatings, such as latex paint or powder coatings and can be used as a soil substitute.

The method further includes, prior to the crushing step, detecting the metal components, and, after the crushing step, separating out and thus removing metal remaining in crushed material.

摘要: A thermoplastic composition comprising recovered poly(arylene ether), less than or equal to 0.1 weight percent based on the total weight of the thermoplastic composition of a second recovered thermoplastic that gives off greater than or equal to 10 percent by mass of volatiles at a processing temperature for the thermoplastic composition; 0.025 to 4.0 weight percent, based on the total weight of the thermoplastic composition, of a third recovered thermoplastic selected from the group consisting of polyolefin, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polycarbonate, polycarbonate/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene blend, polymethyl methacrylate, polyamide, polyester, polycarbonate/polyester blend and combinations of two or more of the foregoing third recovered thermoplastics, wherein combinations of two or more of the foregoing third recovered thermoplastics are present in an amount of less than or equal to 10 weight percent, based on the total weight of the thermoplastic composition; and an optional virgin thermoplastic.

摘要: The present invention provides a process for recycling waste FRP which can simply and effectively reuse waste FRP. This process reuses waste FRP by mixing, melting, and molding mixture (8), which contains wood-derived cellulose fine powder (3), resin-derived resin powder (7), and waste FRP (4)-derived EPR powder (5), into a given form to make the molded resin product. The product contains 10-65% by weight of cellulose fine powder (3), 25-40% by weight of resin powder (7), and 10-30% by weight of EPR powder (5) on the basis of mixture (8).

摘要: In the process of the present invention, a recovered polyamide is used as a part of the raw materials for producing polyamide. By carrying out the polycondensation under a condition such that the recovered polyamide is dissolved in the reaction system during the polycondensation, the properties of the polyamide being produced are not deteriorated as compared with those of polyamide which is produced without using the recovered polyamide. By changing the addition amount of the recovered polyamide, the crystallization speed of the resultant polyamide is controlled or increased as compared when produced without using the recovered polyamide.
