摘要:
Improved hydrogenative conversion catalysts include one or more crystalline aluminosilicate zeolites, a hydrogenation component containing tungsten or molybdenum, and a Group IV metal stabilizing component containing titanium or zirconium. These compositions exhibit superior stability and hydrocracking, hydrofining and hydrogenation activity.

This invention relates to catalysts for use in the oxidation of organic compounds, for example methane, ethane, propylene and carbon monoxide, as well as for the production of methane by the steam reforming of naptha and naptha distillates. The catalyst includes an inert material on which there is applied an intermediate coating of at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of the oxides of titanium, zirconium, hafnium and thorium and a final or surface coating of a mixture or alloy of platinum, rhodium and optionally a base metal in which rhodium constitutes from 1-50 weight % and the base metal, if present, constitutes from 0.01 to 25 weight % of the total metal content.

The invention concerns the non-selective catalytic oxychlorination of hydrocarbons, particularly ethylene, by means of hydrogen chloride gas and molecular oxygen. Use is made of catalysts based on silica hydrogel to which there are primarily added magnesium, titanium, copper and an alkali or alkaline earth metal. These catalysts make it possible to produce, for a given combustion rate, a greater amount of superchlorinated hydrocarbons than with previously known catalysts, and can be used in particular for the non-selective oxychlorination of ethylene.
摘要:
In a hydroconversion process wherein a hydrocarbon feedstock is contacted with solid catalyst particles prepared by forming a hydrogel and then shaping the hydrogel into a pellet, and wherein said contacting is carried out at a temperature between 400* and 900*F., and a hydrogen partial pressure between 100 and 10,000 psig, the improvement which comprises preparing said catalyst by adding to said hydrogel a catalyst fines-water mixture containing at least 10 weight percent free water and at least 80 percent total water, before the hydrogel is shaped into a pellet.
