摘要: A system and method for performing electrochemically-cycled oxidation on landfill leachate are provided for the removal of organic materials in landfill leachate which have an ultraviolet absorbance at 254 nm (UVA254), thus pre-treating the landfill leachate for co-treatment through dilution with municipal sewage. Electrochemical oxidation is performed on the landfill leachate in a first reactor chamber to produce hypochlorite (OCl−), followed by delayed application of ultraviolet radiation to produce hydroxyl radicals (OH•) and reactive chlorine species to break bonds in the organic materials. A portion of this partially-treated landfill leachate is then fed to a second reactor chamber for subsequent dichlorination through ultraviolet photolysis. An equivalent volume of fresh landfill leachate is fed into the first reactor chamber to begin the cycle again, allowing for continuous treatment of a source of landfill leachate.

摘要: A process of dissolving into to-be-treated water a peroxodisulfate and metal ions other than ions of alkali metals is performed by pouring equipment. An ultraviolet irradiation apparatus performs a process of treating the to-be-treated water, having the peroxodisulfate and the metal ions other than ions of alkali metals dissolved therein, with ultraviolet rays. By performing UV treatment on the to-be-treated water having the peroxodisulfate and metal ions dissolved therein, the inventive method and system achieve improved TOC decomposing performance and thus can particularly decompose a urea component in an efficient manner. Further, the to-be-treated water may be treated with an ion-exchange resin at a subsequent stage in such a manner that organic acids contained in the to-be-treated water having been subjected to the UV treatment are adsorbed to the ion exchange-resin, with the advantageous result that the concentration of TOC present in the to-be-treated water can be reduced.

摘要: In a method performed by a control device for verifying the performance of a UV-reactor for treating ballast water in marine vessels, the UV-reactor includes at least one UV-light source; at least one UV-light sensor; an inlet and an outlet for liquid; and the control device. The method includes controlling a cleaning process of the UV-reactor; controlling a flow of fresh water into the UV-reactor for filling the UV-reactor with fresh water; recording a UV-intensity, value from the at least one UV-light source by the at least one UV-light sensor; comparing the recorded UV-intensity value with a setpoint UV-intensity value, the setpoint value being either a default value or is defined at commissioning of the UV-light source; and generating a user alert, if the recorded UV-intensity value is lower than the setpoint value. A control device and a UV-reactor are also disclosed.

摘要: A fluid treatment apparatus including: a pipe having an inlet and an outlet through which a fluid is configured to pass, and a flow channel connecting the inlet to the outlet to define a sterilization area; a fan to control a flow of the fluid; and at least one light source module including a light source to emit sterilizing light towards the sterilization area of the pipe and a substrate, in which the inlet and the outlet of the pipe are disposed adjacent to bottom and top surfaces of an external space of the pipe, respectively, the pipe includes a bent portion such that a flow direction of the fluid passing through the inlet and the outlet of the pipe is different from a flow direction of the fluid passing through sterilization area, and a length of the sterilization area is greater than a diameter of the sterilization area.
