Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal fine particle-containing ink containing metal fine particles (a) dispersed therein with a polymer B, in which the ink contains an ink solvent S; a difference ΔSP (|SP(S)−SP(B)|) between solubility parameters of the solvent S and the polymer B is not more than 1.5 (cal/cm3)0.5 wherein SP(S) and SP(B) are a solubility parameter of the ink solvent S and a solubility parameter of the polymer B, respectively, as measured by a Fedors method; and the SP(B) is not less than 9.5 (cal/cm3)0.5 and not more than 10.5 (cal/cm3)0.5, as well as a method for producing a printed material, which includes the step of applying the metal fine particle-containing ink to a printing substrate to form a metal coating film of the ink on the printing substrate under ordinary-temperature environments, thereby obtaining the printed material.

Abstract: An ink set includes an ink composition and a treatment liquid composition. Each of the ink composition and the treatment liquid composition is used for printing by being applied onto a printing medium by an ink jet method. The ink composition is a water-based composition containing a coloring material and a surfactant. The treatment liquid composition is a water-based composition containing a flocculant and a surfactant. Any one of the ink composition and the treatment liquid composition contains a nitrogen-containing solvent. Each of the surfactant contained in the ink composition and the surfactant contained in the treatment liquid composition includes a silicone surfactant whose 0.1 mass % aqueous solution has a surface tension of 32 mN/m or less. Any one of the surfactant contained in the ink composition and the surfactant contained in the treatment liquid composition includes a silicone surfactant whose 0.1 mass % solution in a nitrogen-containing solvent has a surface tension of 32 mN/m or less.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for forming a coating film including a step 1 of applying a liquid composition I containing a solvent A, a solvent B, and a polymer C to a base material; and a step 2 of applying droplets of a liquid II containing water to the liquid composition I on the base material as applied in the step 1, wherein a boiling point of the solvent A is lower than 99° C., and a distance Ra of the Hansen solubility parameter of the solvent A to water is 36 or less; a boiling point of the solvent B is 150° C. or higher, and a distance Ra of the Hansen solubility parameter of the solvent B to water is 40 or more; and the solvent B is compatible with the solvent A, the polymer C is soluble in the solvent Abut insoluble in the solvent B, and an average diameter d of the droplets applied in the step 2 is 0.01 μm or more and 50 μm or less.

Abstract: Room temperature processing has successfully resulted in highly conductive coatings formed from silver nanowires with a cellulose binder. The conductive coatings can be formed with silver salts to fuse the silver nanowires into a unitary fused metal nanostructured network. Even without added silver salts, low sheet resistance values can be obtained. Room temperature processing can be effective over a range of transmittance values from highly transparent to modestly transparent to translucent to opaque. The ability to form the transparent coatings opens the processing to a wide range of substrates that are not processible with higher process temperatures.

Abstract: Nanoparticle ink compositions are disclosed. The nanoparticle ink compositions are printable. The nanoparticle ink compositions include a highly resistive nanoparticle and a conductive nanoparticle in a carrier. Methods of manufacturing microscale assemblies are also disclosed. The methods include printing at least one layer of a nanoparticle ink composition onto a substrate adjacent at least one metallic or conductive electrode. The microscale assemblies form at least one component of a neuromorphic computing chip, a photonic or chemical sensor, or a quantum computation chip. The microscale assemblies exhibit properties of a nanoscale assembly. Switching matrix to produce wide range of circuit configurations is disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a conductive aqueous ink composition for filling in an engraved micropattern, conductor-filled micropatterns fabricated using same, and a conductive device comprising same, wherein the conductive aqueous ink composition is conductive aqueous ink to be used for filling in an engraved micropattern formed on a substrate and can be applied to plastic bases, etc., and improve working environments due to low temperature sintering. The ink composition comprises: metal nanoparticles (A) protected by a dispersion stabilizer and ranging in particle size from 5 to 50 nm, metal particles (B) ranging in particle size from 100 to 900 nm; and a water-soluble solvent (C) having a boiling point of at least 150° C., the dispersion stabilizer containing a protective polymer composed of branched polyalkylene imine segments and polyoxyalkylene segments and an amine acid salt composed of an amine and an inorganic acid.
