摘要: Nonlinear spring. In one embodiment, the spring includes two opposed curved surfaces curving away from one another. A flexible cantilever member is disposed between the two opposed curved surfaces and a mass is attached to a free end of the cantilever member wherein the flexible cantilever member wraps around one of the curved surfaces as the cantilever member deflects to form a nonlinear spring. Energy harvesting devices and a load cell are also disclosed.

摘要: A ball includes a shell defining a spheroid. The shell includes an opening and a panel to close the opening. The panel has a sleeve that extends radially inward. A generation module is disposed in a cavity defined by the shell. The generation module includes a housing. A pendulum, an electric generator, and a battery are disposed in the housing. The pendulum is mechanically coupled to a rotor of the electric generator at a first axis of rotation of the pendulum and the electric generator is electrically coupled to the battery. An acceleration of the ball causes the pendulum to rotate about the first axis of rotation. The rotation of the pendulum rotates the rotor of the electric generator. The rotation of the rotor of the electric generator generates electricity, and at least a portion of the generated electricity is stored by the battery.

摘要: [Problems to be solved] There is known means for converting the vibration energy of the body of a road vehicle to electrical energy, thereby improving the fuel efficiency of the vehicle but since these means cannot collect energy when an internal combustion engine is idling, they are not satisfactory as energy collecting means. Thus, it is a problem to be solved by the present invention to provide an internal combustion engine equipped with an electrical power generating member which can efficiently convert the vibration energy to electrical energy and can prevent spaces occupied by a piezoelectric element, rectifier and other power circuit components.[Solution] The problem can be solved by an internal combustion engine of a road vehicle, which is an internal combustion engine equipped with an electrical power generating member, the electrical power generating member is provided in a passive member subjected to the motion of an actuating member constituting a component of the internal combustion engine and the electrical power generating member is constituted to generate electrical power in response to motion of the actuating member and store the generated electrical power in an electrical storage device.

摘要: An energy production device including a frame, a body, first and second aligned input shafts projecting from two opposite faces of the body, and a third input shaft aligned with an output shaft. The direction of the first and second input shafts is perpendicular to the direction of the third input shaft and of the output shaft. A mechanical connection is provided at the proximal part of each of the shafts which is within the body. The mechanical connection operates with a transmission system within the body so that any rotation movement on any of the input shafts is converted into a unidirectional rotation movement on the output shaft. A distal end of the third input shaft is fixed to the frame. A bearing is fixed on the frame, into which the distal end of the output shaft is freewheeling. A first pendulum is mounted on a bearing at the distal end of the first input shaft to pivot around the first input shaft and a second pendulum mounted on a bearing at the distal end of the second input shaft to pivot around the second input shaft.

摘要: A device that is installed underneath a predetermined surface to harness gravity from the weight of overpassing traffic to produce and amplify mechanical energy. The weight received forces or pushes the device downward thereby translating the weight into mechanical energy. The amplification of mechanical energy is achieved through the decrease in the cross section area from the upper portion to the lower portion of the device. Also provided herein is a system wherein the device is connected to a piston, a crankshaft and an electricity generator so that the mechanical energy can be further converted into rotational motion and ultimately, electricity.
