    Abstract: Managing starvation in a distributed arbitration scheme including sending, by a starved local arbiter, a starvation message toward a head arbiter, wherein the starvation message comprises an identifier of the starved local arbiter and a request for resources to transfer data to a destination, wherein the requested resources comprise a destination token and a bus slot; receiving, by a neighboring local arbiter, the starvation message, wherein the neighboring local arbiter is between the starved local arbiter and the head arbiter; if the neighboring local arbiter currently has the resources requested in the starvation message: marking, by the neighboring local arbiter, the requested resources with the identifier of the starved local arbiter.

    Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for controlling electrical loads in one or more areas. A method includes transmitting, with a microcontroller via a transceiver, a sync packet including a unique address of the lighting fixture control module to a bus. The method includes listening, via the transceiver, on the bus. The method includes placing the microcontroller into a master operation mode when a master sync timeout period expires without receiving a second sync packet including a unique address for a second master device from the bus. The method includes placing the microcontroller into a subordinate operation mode when the second sync packet is received from the bus during the master sync timeout period.

    Abstract: A system includes a multi-conductor bus, a master device coupled to the multi-conductor bus, and at least one slave device coupled to the multi-conductor bus. The multi-conductor bus has a clock line and a data line. The master device is arranged to transmit an address configuration sequence, and the at least one slave device is arranged to configurably determine its own address based on at least one portion of the address configuration sequence. The at least one slave device has a physical address configuration input coupled to either a fixed voltage potential or a changing voltage potential. The at least one slave device is arranged with a first address during a pre-initialization state and arranged with a second address during a post-initialization state. During the post-initialization state, the first address and the second address are a same address when the address configuration sequence represents the first address and the first address and the second address are different addresses when the address configuration sequence does not represent the first address.

    Abstract: An HDMI apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided. The HDMI apparatus includes an HDMI connection port, a control circuit, a master circuit, a slave circuit, and a switch circuit. The master circuit and the slave circuit are respectively configured to generate a master HDMI output signal and a slave HDMI output signal. The switch circuit is selectively conducted in a first conductive state and a second conductive state according to a control signal generated by the control circuit. In the first conductive state, the switch circuit is electrically connected to the master circuit, so that the master HDMI output signal is output through the HDMI connection port. In the second conductive state, the switch circuit is electrically connected to the slave circuit, so that the slave HDMI output signal is output through the HDMI connection port.
