摘要:
An improvement in a high thermal stress connection between a rotationally symmetrical component made of ceramic material and a component made of metallic material is provided in which a connecting part which is elastic and radially and axially resilient connects the ceramic part and the metallic part by means of high temperature soldering. The stresses normally produced by differential expansion of the ceramic part and the metallic part are substantially absorbed by elastic deformation of the connecting part.

This invention consists of a plain bearing in which the bearing surface consists of or includes poly-phenylene sulphide to give good bearing properties and also because such linings can be bonded to backings of steel or aluminium or aluminium alloys with a bond that withstands hard operating conditions, for example changes of temperature and changes of shape and stress. The linear polymer can be cross-linked to a desired extent by appropriate treatment.

An elastomeric bearing for a helicopter rotor in which the laminates of the bearing are shaped and positioned so that the center of hydrostatic pressure generated in each elastomer laminate and the cross-sectional center of gravity of each metal laminate are in alignment so that the integrated load vectors reacted through the metal and elastomer laminates of the bearing in imparting blade centrifugal loads to the hub therethrough are substantially in alignment to thereby prevent the creating of eccentric internal moments and hence avoid life reducing bending and hoop stresses in the metal laminates and unnecessarily high hydrostatic pressures in the elastomer laminates.

The rotor of a turbine meter has a ceramic bushing and is mounted on a ceramic shaft. A ceramic body is mounted to engage the bushing in one direction. Thin layers of elastomeric material are placed between the mounted end of the shaft and the ceramic body and its mount to provide mechanical shock absorption.

This invention relates to a coupling for joining axially aligned shafts that are splined by utilizing an idle shaft supported to a bearing which shaft in turn supports each of the axially aligned shafts independently of each other whereby either of said mating shafts may be removed without the other falling out of place and the invention has particular application for the shaft of the compressor/turbine assembly in a turbine type of power plant.
