Further, at least one of R1 to R6 represents a fluorine atom or an alkyl group in which at least one hydrogen atom is substituted with a fluorine atom. General formula (I) 1
Abstract:
The invention relates to new radiation sensitive coating compositions and coating product which are radiation sensitive in the infrared region closed to the infrared, comprising two layers, the first layer comprising a hiding polymer and one or more infrared absorbing material which absorbs in the desired wavelength and a second layer coated on the first layer comprising one or more copolymer which is able to coat and make the polymer of the first layer insoluble in the conventional developer of positive plates, and when applied to an appropriate substrate is useful as off-set lithographic printing plates, for color proofing films and photoresist. The invention also refers to a printing or imaging process.
Abstract:
An image-forming material which has high sensitivity and is excellent in image-forming performance and which does not produce smudges on an optical system of an exposing apparatus, and a planographic printing original plate which uses this image-forming material and can produce images by an infrared laser for a direct plate-making process. These can be achieved by an image-forming material containing an infrared absorber having in the same molecule thereof two or more chromophoric groups which can absorb infrared radiation and are each bonded by a covalent bond.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a photosensitive composition for an infrared laser used for direct plate making, which has high sensitivity and good developing latitude and storage stability, and provides a planographic printing plate in which this composition is used. The positive-type photosensitive composition of the present invention has (a) a macromolecular compound having alkali-soluble groups and (b) a compound that has a phthalocyanine skeleton and has in its molecule at least one group which can form a bond by interaction with an alkali-soluble group in the macromolecular compound (a).

Provided is a lithographic printing plate comprising a support substrate having disposed thereon an ablative-absorbing layer and, optionally, a durable, ink-accepting surface layer that is not ablative-absorbing. The ablative-absorbing layer may contain a high weight percent of an organic sulfonic acid component. The printing plate may further comprise a hydrophilic polymeric layer interposed between the ablative-absorbing layer and the substrate. The printing plate also comprises a primer layer underlying the ablative-absorbing layer with an adhesion-promoting agent, such as a zirconium compound, present in the primer layer. Also provided are methods of preparing such lithographic printing plates, and methods of preparing imaged lithographic printing plates from such lithographic printing plates by imagewise exposure to a laser and a subsequent cleaning step with water or with a cleaning solution.
