Abstract:
Mechanisms are provided herein which accommodate the handling of multiple communication sessions on a communication platform using an active call view display. In particular, when a single and/or multiple calls are connected with a communication platform, a user interface can provide a dynamic active call view with call stack and feature attributes for simple management and control of the one or more calls. The multiple calls can be managed independently and a manner most productive with a user while improving user experience.
Abstract:
At least one social media channel includes a plurality of user messages, which are accessible via a communication network. At least some of the stored messages are retrieved from the at least one social media channel via the communication network, and a collection of frequently asked questions (FAQ) is generated or updated by analyzing the retrieved messages to form a plurality of topical issue clusters. Each topical issue cluster is associated with at least one topic parameter from among a plurality of topic parameters, each topic parameter relates to at least one of use, installation or maintenance of a product or service, and each topical issue cluster includes at least one issue identified by a community of users and at least one resolution of the issue identified by the community of users. The generated or updated FAQ is uploaded to a storage location accessible to the community of users.
Abstract:
In order to detect a specific codec sequence being used, a signal that is based on a codec sequence is analyzed. The signal is analyzed to determine if there is a pattern in the signal. A pattern of a codec sequence can be a unique pattern of frames, frequencies and/or frequency ranges that are generated based on a specific codec sequence. The pattern is compared to one or more previously stored patterns of codec sequences to see if there is a match. If there is a match, an event is generated. For example, if a known codec sequence that has a poor signal quality is determined to be in use for a voice call, the parties may be notified that the call is likely to be a low quality voice call.
Abstract:
A communication processor receives a call request to establish a communication session from a first communication endpoint to a second communication endpoint. The communication processor changes the intent of the call request. For example, the call request can be changed by automatically forwarding the call request, automatically forking the call request, automatically rejecting the call request based on the second communication endpoint being busy, and/or changing a first type of medium of the communication session to a second type of medium of the communication session. A call log manager conveys status information regarding the changed intent of the call to a call log of the second communication endpoint based on changing the intent of the call request.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and software to generate automated meeting permissions based on properties associated with a meeting. In an implementation, a method of operating a meeting publishing system to generate meeting publishing permissions includes identifying a request to record a meeting between a plurality of participants. The method further includes determining meeting properties associated with the meeting, generating permission for accessing a recording of the meeting based on the meeting properties, and initiation a recording system to provide the recording of the meeting based on the permissions.
Abstract:
A method, apparatus and computer program product for providing IP multicast over split plane wireless LAN. An access tunnel (AT) is defined as an IP multicast interface at a first network device. The AT is capable of communicating with a second network device that is an Internet Protocol (IP) multicast receiver, wherein a local Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) the first device serves the second network device's mobility VLAN. The first network device sends a query to the second network device over the AT and receiving, in response to the sending the query, a report. A data structure is built defining a multicast group membership from the report, and multicast data is forwarded in accordance with the data structure.
Abstract:
Methods, systems and computer readable media for default gateway redundancy support across SPB networks are described. In some implementations, the method can include enabling peer network information exchange on a per-network basis between a plurality of switches in a network and advertising a first address and a second address from each switch in the plurality of switches to the other switches. The method can also include storing, at each switch, the first address and the second address received from the other switches in the plurality of switches. The method can further include routing, at a first switch, traffic for a second switch when the first switch detects that the traffic can be routed more efficiently without being sent to the second switch.
Abstract:
System and method to calculate video frame delay in a video stream received by a telecommunications endpoint, the method including: locating reference features characteristic of content in the received video stream; calculating, by use of a processor, reduced reference features from the located reference features; receiving reduced reference features of a transmitted video stream, the transmitted video stream corresponding to the received video stream; calculating, by use of a processor, a received trajectory of the reduced reference features from the received video stream; calculating, by use of a processor, a transmitted trajectory of the reduced reference features from the transmitted video stream; and calculating, by use of a processor, video frame delay as a time shift between the received trajectory and the transmitted trajectory.
Abstract:
An initial request is received to establish a communication session. The initial request contains a communication address of a first communication device. A communication server detects that the communication session cannot be established across a primary network. In response, the initial request is repurposed by changing the first communication address to a second communication address. The changed request is sent to a communication system, which adds a field to the changed request that indicates that the changed request is to be sent via a secondary network. The changed request is sent with the field to the communication server. The changed request with the second communication address is sent to a gateway to establish the communication session across a secondary network. A portion of the communication session is established using the second communication address. The first communication address is sent in the portion of the communication session using Dual-Tone-Multi-Frequency (DTMF).
Abstract:
Method to transport HTTP over XMPP, including: forming a first two-level URI template to identify web resources accessible by use of HTTP in an XMPP network, wherein a first level is XMPP-formatted and a second level is HTTP-formatted; binding HTTP to XMPP and stanzas; transmitting the HTTP messages in those stanzas; receiving HTTP messages in those stanzas; and a XMPP mechanism to discover if an XMPP entity supports transporting HTTP over XMPP.
