Abstract: A method for rendering computer graphics based on saccade detection is provided. One embodiment of the method includes rendering a computer simulated scene for display to a user, detecting an onset of a saccade that causes saccadic masking in an eye movement of the user viewing the computer simulated scene, and reducing a computing resource used for rendering frames of the computer simulated scene during at least a portion of a duration of the saccade. Systems perform similar steps, and non-transitory computer readable storage mediums each storing one or more computer programs are also provided.

Abstract: A main body of a camera accommodates a light receiving part. The main body has a flat bottom surface. A support is aligned with the main body in a left-right direction, and supports the main body in such a manner that an orientation of the light receiving part can be controlled in a vertical direction. A bottom surface of the support is located on a common plane on which a bottom surface of the main body is also located. The bottom surface of the support can be attached to and detached from a stand member which is mounted to a display device. This camera promises enhanced stability of mounting of the camera to an edge of a display device.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an information processing device for displaying contents formed by a plurality of pages according to user operation. The information processing device includes: an operation receiving section receiving an operation of changing a page as an object of display; and a display image control section displaying a slide bar displaying a handle indicating a position of the displayed page on a bar representing the pages of a whole of the contents as a GUI on a display device with an image of the page being displayed. When the operation receiving section receives a user operation of sliding the handle, the display image control section changes display to a page corresponding to a handle reached position. When the operation receiving section receives a user operation on predetermined operating means of an input device, the display image control section changes display to a page serving as a predetermined break.

Abstract: In order to reduce influences of light from indoor lighting equipment or the like on the accuracy in detecting the position of an operating device, an operating device includes: left and right hold sections to be held by a user, each of which is provided with an operating member at an upper surface thereof; a central section which is a section between the left and right hold sections; and a light emitting surface adapted to emit light to be captured by an information processing apparatus through a camera, the light emitting surface provided at a front surface of the central section. The central section includes a portion which is located over the light emitting surface and is located on a more forward side than the light emitting surface.

Abstract: One or more chat servers receives voice signals and pose (location and orientation) signals from devices such as VR headsets associated with respective chat participants. For each participant, the server renders a single stream representing the voices of the other participants, with the voice data in each stream being modified to account for the orientation of the head of the receiving participant. The server sends the streams to the participants for whom the streams are tailored. The voice information representing the chat of the other participants in a stream intended for a particular participant can also be modified to account for the distances between participants and orientations of speakers' heads relative to the particular participant for whom the stream is tailored.
