A hand-held electronic device, method of operation and computer readable medium are disclosed. The device may include a processor is operably coupled to a visual display and touch screen. Instructions executable by the processor may be configured to a) present an image on the visual display containing one or more active elements; b) correlate one or more active portions of the touch interface to one or more corresponding active elements in the image on the visual display; and c) adjust a layout of content shown on the display according to a probability of one or more actions that may be taken with the one or more active elements.
Abstract:
A method of 3D printing is provided. While running a videogame, the method includes generating a virtual game environment comprising in-game geometry. The method also includes receiving an indication that the current state of the virtual game environment has been selected for 3D printing; obtaining supplementary geometry and supplementing the in-game geometry with the supplementary geometry to create a 3D printer geometry. Components of the virtual game environment included in the 3D printer geometry are modified by the supplementary geometry to have structural features within the 3D printer geometry that have dimensions calculated to support the model in its final printed physical form.
Abstract:
A method of 3D printing a virtual environment is provided. The method includes obtaining a plurality of complementary images of the virtual environment from respective different viewpoints. The method also includes calculating a 3D surface geometry of at least some of the environment depicted in the plurality of complementary images, as well as modifying a property of the 3D surface geometry to form a 3D model and outputting the 3D model to a 3D printer.

Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for warning a user of a head mounted display during gameplay of a video game. A game is executed causing interactive scenes of the game to be rendered on a display portion of a head mounted display (HMD) worn by a user. Images of a physical environment in a vicinity of the user are received from a forward facing camera of the HMD, while the game is being executed. The images are analyzed to determine if the user is approaching one or more objects in the physical environment. Data is sent to be rendered on the display portion of the HMD while rendering the interactive scenes of the game. The data provides information to avoid interaction with the one or more objects in the physical environment.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for executing content to be rendered on a screen of a head mounted display (HMD) are provided. One method includes executing the content to render interactive scenes on the screen and tracking an orientation direction of the HMD when worn on a head of a user and the interactive scenes are being rendered on the screen. The method includes changing view directions into the interactive scenes based on changes in the orientation direction of the HMD, such that movements of the head of the user causes the changes in the view directions into the interactive scenes. The method further includes receiving images of a real world space using a camera of the HMD. The camera of the HMD is configured to capture a location of real world objects in the real world space relative to the user of the HMD. The method includes detecting that at least one real world object is becoming proximate to the user of the HMD and generating a warning or message to be presented to the HMD, the warning or message indicating that the user is likely to bump or contact the at least one real world object. The method further includes transitioning at least a portion of the screen to a transparent mode. The transparent mode provides at least a partial view into the real world space using the camera of the HMD.

Methods and apparatus provide for a user to feel the presence of other users existing in the same daily living area without using short-distance wireless communication. The system includes a position coordinate receiving section for obtaining positions from a plurality of user terminals, and a nearby user distributing section for selecting, under the condition that the nearby user distributing section obtains a position of a specified user terminal, one or more of the plurality of user terminals corresponding to the position obtained from the specified user terminal and the positions obtained from the plurality of user terminals and providing the specified user terminal with information on the selected one or more of the plurality of user terminals.
